For a lot of quests or challenges any weapon in 1st slot (kinetic slot) is counted, whether it's kinetic (no element), strand or stasis. I was just doing some dares runs and mint kills completed kinetic weapon kill quest.

Few cases actually require you to use a kinetic (no element), just lack of attention to detail and inconsistency from Bungie

Best lvling is cabal watch on repeat but you want to enjoy summ of it just do whatever one has the most green engrams on it

All ops have time estimates which are fairly accurate. Go for activities which give you the most rewards per hour (completion rewards + bonus rewards) to quickly level up

Idk about the previous encounters, but Atheon itself requires 4 due to the teleporting
