3 skills in Skyrim that are essential for Markarth and Riften are illusion magic, sneak, and pickpocket, but mainly illusion and sneak.

Illusion magic is the only way to turn invisible, and sneak is the only way to remain undetected. Pickpocket is just a bonus.

Pickpocket, in my opinion, is the most painful skill to level, because you can only realistically practice on entities that are already hellbent on destroying you.

Weapon stat above 100 is actually really good in PvE and enables double special without ever worrying about ammo. Before buddy builds were buffed, there was no point in having grenade above 100 so I had points dumped in weapons and was pleasantly surprised

There is a kill switch in the shooting range to despawn all enemies on the range.
