Imagine being stuck in a room with 6 people, then suddenly 3 of those are teleported to alternate versions of that same room where they each see different shapes on the walls and then at one point they die and they have to watch through someone else's POV while dead to figure out how to get revived

All while having virtually no feedback from the encounter until you've figured everything out

Not all encounters are like this thankfully

But some encounters are, and they will take a long time to figure out without having some kind of guide

That's why I said what I said, because most people will look at a raid, load in, see that they can't do it solo/look at a guide and think "this is too complicated I don't want to do this" and will never bother again

If you want to get reacquainted with raids a good place to start would be vault of glass or root of nightmares
