You'll play in the same band as your power so it doesn't get any tougher or easier. 300-320 was tough for me, otherwise there can be pockets where it may feel tough as game adjusts score every 20 power or so

Exotic weapons, catalysts etc drop from B+ or above completions of expert or above. However, higher difficulties and A grade improve chances. Nobody knows by how much as Bungie hasn't published but it's pretty high so 2-3 A grade runs should get you the catalyst
