You can just do all feasible portal activities once and move on to maximize your rewards while being efficient. Get A grade, have a high guardian rank (not sure how this effects) and you'll get multiple power gear per activity

Purely for efficiency don't move up tiers until you can no longer get A rating without punishing modifiers. Rewards seem to be based on power and not expert or master. Also, champions appear on master which will make your runs slower
