I dont think Patrol has been bad since D1. What i meant is like going out into patrol to find and start quests. I loved it in TTK and loved it in Forsaken with the Dreaming city. more of that style of content sounds great imo

Yes, for Armor pieces you only get them from Rahool (the decrypter at the tower) You have to get him fully to level 17, then you need the exotic cyphers and the exotic engrams. If you're not even close to getting him past Level 17, then I would suggest keeping your materials to do it in the next DLC
