You lag your side of the game somehow while using a gun that shoots slowly but does a lot of damage then switching to a gun that shoots fast,

and since you’re lagging the game think your slow firing gun that does big dmg is suddenly shooting like a smg.

That’s my understanding of it, if anyone knows more on the subject or if I’ve gotten anything wrong please tell me.
