Every single major weapon has its time. It gets buffed big for awhile. Then they nerf it again. Rinse and repeat. Some guns get buffed and nerfed then buffed again.

It’s just controlling the flow of the game in the direction they want it to go. Keeping the same guns at the top always makes things stale
