Hand Cannons are pretty good in Crucible, but you only want to use the ones with the best overall time to kill.

Also, if you are feeling particularly sadistic, put on Jade Rabbit during Momentum Control.

What you need to worry about is running what you're comfortable with. That's how you're going to rack up kills. Only adapt when you feel like nothing is working.

I prefer medium range combat in the Crucible, cos that's where my weapons are the most optimal.
