Also, Pit is easier for me than Shattered Throne.

It mainly has to do with the predictability of the Hive and the randomness of the Taken.

While Shattered Throne is shorter, I generally have an easier time surviving Pit than Shattered Throne.

for me shattered is easier because both bosses fall over in miliseconds, and the traversals are quick and easy, pit making you stand around for 3 mins

Gotta weigh the perks and downsides to both.

Shattered is faster, but Pit doesn't have such a tiny fighting room.

There's no room to breathe in Shattered Throne boss encounter.

With a fireteam of 3, yeah, Shattered Throne gonna be faster, but if doing it solo, that's determinant based upon what you're using.

Perhaps I should have worded the question differently.

Pit has the easiest solo flawless out of all the dungeons.

Mainly cos you're not being pelted by Ogres in the boss fights.
