You don't farm specific exotics from lost sectors anymore, you just focus them from rahool if you have them unlocked otherwise you reset his reputation and pick what you want to unlock

DPS is more of an MMORPG kind of thing than anything else. Some games have community software programs that actually parse those numbers and give you all sorts of statistics to learn from.
