To Skimmer fly you just tap control. To Sparrow fly you've got to jump through a bunch of hoops.

Seriously, tripmines are not that good. I find them fun bc i like to go for unicorns and follow up with a glaive or sidearm. That loop is fun to me and not cheesy.
