It's a nice monitor for sure, and it's passable. But I can't stand any mbp keyboard, so I use an external, and that puts the laptop too far away

And I just have too many windows I need to look at at the same time, terminal, browser, browser console, ide. Plus it's nice to have slack and Spotify visible, that's what usually lives on actual screen

If it was a personal computer instead of a work computer, then I'd probably be fine with no external, and would just suffer with the function key being in the wrong spot on the built in keyboard

You might be able to open the controller and clean under the button with electronics Alcohol. I had submerged my whole motherboard, it's completely safe to use, just have to let it dry comppletely

If the pcb has oxidation and you waited too long to fix it. Turning the controller on after the droplet also could destroy it. Always dry electronics before turning them on.
