okay so im ALMOST almost done this character. i have other things to do today but i still think its pretty likely that i finish the character today - certainly its gonna be this weekend

however; i think somethings wrong with my hurt animation. her eyes seem too small to make the curve slightly pushed towards the center, and she looks more like shes biting her lip than grimacing. what could i do about this?

i think i got kicked back some 30% of shine rank when the system change happened? iirc i was at like 80 and everyone got set to 50 of their current rank during the change

the nose is good but i think i want to lean into it being small nose chibi for anelace because thats part of her Thing
honestly part of me wants to make it even smaller but somehow i like. feel guilty if i make noses just a dot. bizarre emotional response to have but it feels like i'm cheating

so i'm trying to get an in game video of my 3d model characters. the trouble is, i can't have them steer to turn because then they do their steering animation. and I can't find anywhere where theres a 360 view of absolutely blank screen, not even getting myself out of bounds with noclip in test run
so i'm going to try to make a track that's a single pure black ground tile floating in space
for something like this, does it make more sense to do that from scratch? or should i take an existing map like test run and remove everything in it

i got it to work but then realized my scheme wouldnt work anyway because it relies on my "swing the camera around 36 times" command, and that looks really janky for a promo gif. i realized the solution is just to change that command to do angle instead of cam_rotate, which works great and also means i didnt need the blank void

ive decided its finally time for me to make proper promo gifs. my old ones are servicable but barebones with a lot of stuff left to text, and for a few characters i couldnt even be bothered to do the normal one. i also need a reason to refresh my MB post, because the koopalings have a huge flavor text block and on one else gets anything
this new one is still pretty simple, but im really happy with having Everyone on the graph. thats the one idea ive had locked in for months, is having everyone's minimap icons on the graph
