but yea it’s worse
Worse fucking zone in sonic
Ever
it’s so painful to play through
It’s side to side with wacky workbench is bad sonic zones
#1011087060368638033 we can continue there if we will trash on these zones lol
Battle Network 3 was my first Mega Man
I'm debating on pre-ordering for PS4 or PC
Im just getting the switch version lmao
mostly since i dont have anything else to play it on
well besides all of BN being on wiiu vc before shut down but im too lazy to bust out the wiiu
youtube to mp4
Battle Network epilogue 20 years later! https://www.capcom-games.com/megaman/exe/en-us/comics/
We see Lan and everyone grown up
And Patch too
Reading it hit me in the feels
Started playing X4
Got the god rng on magma dragoon
I got Zero's sword technique from web spider which deals a lot of damage to magma dragoon
#MegaManX #NintendoSwitch
This was the only time he did the fire breath in the direction where it wasnt threatening to me
So i used that opportunity to electrocute his ass while he was wide open
I played this years ago as X so Im doing my run as Zero this time around
Played more X4 yesterday
Only 2 mavericks left
Once I beat split mushroom and magma dragoon is when zero's playstyle finally clicked
becoming closer and closer to a beast
also collected sub tanks and many heart tanks
the double jump and air dash are quite good
a lot of these mavericks are also easier than magma dragoon
he's still the one i had the most trouble with
the rest just went down easy
the meme cutscene i havent reached yet
but there was a cutscene of the colonel wanting to meet with zero and then it turned into a fight
unintentionally funny scene because of the voice acting
also this whole Repliforce plot is so stupid lmao
it only happened because no one at Repliforce has basic communication skills
oh snap, battle network is out
nice
almost done i can almost taste it
i've beaten the colonel
just 3 more to go
iris, general, and then sigma
beat X4!
I'm ready for battle network now
last life clutch! #MegaManX #NintendoSwitch
last life clutched the sigma battle
by this point i had used up both subtanks before i entered this run
cause my original strat was to facetank sigma's attacks and just wail on him
which almost worked except the gun sigma killed me
I've also recorded the meme scene
the meme scene #MegaManX #NintendoSwitch
fun fact: every Zero actor has recorded at least once instance of this legendary scene
the worst thing is that the scene makes sense, but the dialogue and voice acting turn it into a joke
even with the "context" the dialogue makes it hard to feel for Iris in this scene lmao
the feeling when you get called out
Iris: "I secretly wished for the humans to die so we can live in a Reploid only utopia!"
Zero: "Iris was a saint."
Thank goodness Zero never thinks about his girlfriend's sudden racism when he remembers her
it might have actually worked a lot better if we saw some evil human mistreat Iris, but since humans are a non-factor in the X series, that didn't happen (outside of Dr. Cain, who vanishes after X3, except in the Maverick Hunter X reboot universe)
Very true
You know the whole plot of X4 could have worked if they didnt reveal sigma in the beginning (even though we know it's him anyway), if Iris was given more background
tango lets you play battle network from purchasing legacy collection now
like sonic 3 air
BN1 is pretty rough
recommend playing with max buster mode
the whole sequence before fighting fireman.exe was annoying
Yai's program wasn't hard to find but the problem was I got lost in the portrait
I went to the end of that square spiral path twice
with nothing to show for it cause there's nothing there
after finding the program, Glyde was just at the beginning of that portrait
the fireman.exe dungeon was better though at least
beat him first try
all within an hour
getting lost wouldn't be so bad if the random encounter rates werent so high
BN1 internet navigation is ass
everything looks so samey
i got lost so many times
I put on max buster mode to ease the pain of these random encounters
beat the waterworks dungeon
i dont think i would've solved that on my own
i used maps someone gave me
water is now back to normal
I also turned off max buster mode for the bosses
iceman was a fun bosss
died a few times but was fun
i think im about halfway done
Dentown navigation is ass
And to set off the quest is also ass
To meet Mayl in front of the metroline station, I had to go into the station then back out
but what almost everyone did, me included, was to explore Dentown, then go back and then that's what sets off the quest
but anyway so I got the quest set off
she wanted me to go to an antique shop so I went there
shop's not open but the store owner wants to netbattle so I did
this took a lot of tries
got the god run when i was dealt two fire sword chips
Trading chips is awful
I helped someone 100% the game
there was a chip which needed 30 MetGuard A's
I had 8
so I expected it to go like Pokemon where you need 1 code only and trade as many chips as you want
but no
I had to enter 8 separate trade codes cause each code only does a single trade for some reason
The traffic lights dungeon is pretty fun actually
the gimmick is really cool
only had to bring up the maps once
gutsman is clutch #NintendoSwitch
gutsman clutch moment
I actually grew up playing with BN3 first, so I didn't play BN1 until many years later
I was shocked because it looked a lot uglier and was much harder to navigate
it's terrible
the navigation i mean
if you will pick up the LC i recommend to use maps that im currently using
it's been super helpful
and also max buster mode
right after the traffic lights dungeon, which was one of the best dungeons, came the powerplant, the actual worst dungeon
fuck this area so hard
power's out so the gimmick is that megaman loses battery every time he walks
and the pathways are invisible
so the ass navigation is now even moreso because of invisible pathways
and all of the battery puzzles are terrible
there's no indication of the batteries being wrong or not so if you use up all the charges, gotta go to a recharging program
so i busted out the maps quickly on that one
so i got through all of them and fought elecman
not bad
but then i had to fight protoman right after
protoman was hard i had to use a lot of swords
he would usually surprise me but i just learned to chill
and eventually he went down
so now i just spent a lot of time exploring the internet and increasing megaman's attack and HP
his HP when fighting protoman was 180 and now it's 500+
Finally beat BN1
the WWW servers was underwhelming
it was mostly a retread of the first 5 dungeons
i think there was supposed to be a boss rush there but they just didnt follow through
so i go through all that then there's the last 2 bosses
magicman was first
this fight is annoying
he would often spawn 2 normal enemies that can just fill the screen up with projectiles
took a while for me to beat him
but be reminded the last time you can save in the game is before magicman
after that is the final boss, the lifevirus
actually pretty fun
but dying to it means having to fight magicman again
so i just turned on max buster on magicman to go back to the lifevirus
invisible chips coming in clutch #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
the invisible chips came in clutch
it's my style of fighting
chips that you'd find really early on end up becoming useful
overall the game gets a 5.5/10
Fun battle system and bosses but there's a lot that holds it back, like navigation of the overworld and the internet, high random encounter rates. Recommend max buster mode for random encounters. The Powerplant dungeon is also the main thing that brought the game down. Story is also pretty basic, reminiscent of classic mega man but with computers but it did have its moments.
Started playing BN2 today
there already are a lot of improvements over the original
the navigation is so much better
both the overworld and the internet
i dont need to pull up the maps too often
encounter rate is less than in 1
tho i still use max buster when im not in the mood to fight
the dungeons are pretty fun
the gas one i thought was interesting
the one with the bombs and detonators too
tho a nightmare to fight was quickman
eventually got him but wow
he can block everything including navi chips and the areagrab chip when it falls on him
trying to hit him was like trying to hit the blades of an electric fan
just shooting and praying lmso
so that was done
did a lot of grinding
i grinded a lot for money so i can buff megaman's HP
that was a lot of grinding for money
i usually went to the reporter's van for that
250-350 zenny for rank 8-S virus busting level
fought a lot of optional bosses like toadman, gateman, gutsman
the camping scenario was not fun
had to find random stuff with no indication
that one sucked
and then finding the detonators was also not fun
always check behind the waterfalls
and then i reached Koto
and accidentally ran into quickman V2
so that was fun
so i singe his ass
then i also run into quickman v3
i cant catch a break now
also singed his ass
i just used max buster because i was scared of dying and i didnt save lmao
then to get to yumland had to do another variation of the license exam where it's survival, find the dudes, and then survival again
and before that, the missions
one of them was just finding rogue navis and jacking in to random stuff in acdc town
like the toys in the playground because i shouldve known that
and also having to backtrack into the camp grounds lol
so yumland internet gets destroyed, i beat cutman
and then i went to fight toadman v2 and thats where i stopped
the camping scenario is funny at times though
a bear attack can totally be resolved with technology
because the bear is a mascot that got a virus
Don't release his V3 early unless you're a masochist like me.
always save in Koto
shaking my switch too much #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
this is what happens when you shake your switch too much
LOL, switch really is the best version then huh
Yep
It's like owning an actual PET and having megaman.exe as your navi
That alone can convince people (me included) to buy for the switch lmao

We are winning
Also we should get Recov1000000 to celebrate
Oh I didn't know this thread existed, neat
also this is awesome, just saying
I should buy that bn collection soon, I have the first game physically so it would be nice to have them on switch along with the other mega man collections I have on that console
i got BNLC physically
plus its battle network, I'm interested to see how the series evolves after 1
it has both volumes on cart
2 is a lot better than 1 despite the dev cycle being only 9 months at most
you can just read above on how 2 is a lot better
this is how Patch called his Navi according to Lan's diary in Starforce 2
and I just got them digitally on my switch
may start a bn1 playthrough tomorrow
use max buster mode
Beat the mother computer dungeon last night
that one was neat at first but it dragged on for too long
the puzzles were simple riddles
then it just kept getting more and more ridiculous
Did you know the answer to this was ||B|| ?
Did you know the answer to this was ||virus|| from the hints?
Neither did I
so that whole dungeon would've been a lot better if half of it was cut out
a lot of these puzzles just went worse over time
culminating in the set of 5 images
finished many areas after that
the castle dungeon is first
that was annoying
essentially there are 3 programs, the vampire that sucks HP, the zombie that drags you into a gravestone, and the bandit that steals zenny
this was the most annoying dungeon
it got under my skin
i just wanted it to be over
so i fought knightman and that was that
then it's time to go back to electopia after travelling to netopia
so board the airplane
then of course things go to shit
so it's time to jack into the airplane dungeon
this one is pretty neat
you just have to deactivate the magnetic fields and you can fix the program causing the plane problems
so the theming was nice
but then the magnetman fight
that one was hard
the panels were magnetic so it always pulled me towards the center
since i had heatshield style i charged up the flamethrower to hit him
that was most of my strategy since it's v3 and deals 100 damage
so that took a long time
and then the plane landed safely
i fought protoman v2 and wow that fight was hard
until i got the gater PA
#MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
he stood no chance after that
the protoman navi chip is really good
i replaced toadman with it
and then the internet got frozen over
with ice blocks everywhere
they come in different colors and some are unbreakable without proper tools
then after finding roll and more shenanigans, it was time to go to the undernet
the undernet is really cool in this game
It looks the part, and sounds the part
it feels like exploring the dark web
BN1 undernet was nothing like this
it looked so boring and same as the normal internet
same music too
im glad it had a glowup
There was a lot of backtracking nonsense
It was like a volley of gotta go to netopia woop gotta go back to the undernet
Rinse and repeat
God i hated the whole freezeman scenario
I was so happy when i got sent to Koto
Koto of all places
Then it was final dungeon time
I actually like that one
Then final boss time
finally beat BN2 #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
Gater coming in clutch once again
Look how much HP I had left
Still a really great game overall
HUH?!?!? HE CAN DO THIS?!?!?!
#MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
This is hilarious
I want to know how to trigger it
A quality of life update for #MegaManBattleNetwork Legacy Collection is now available!

☑️ Crucial Bug Fixes
☑️ 'MegaMan Voice' Option Added

☑️ Plus More
Patch notes:
▶️ https://t.co/PUiZPHkyDo https://t.co/5lYNAJWF6Y
Huge!
They fixed the bug that prevented 100% in BN6
The english version
I think it meant you can toggle between eng and japanese voices
And black border means no border
Started BN3
i finished the zoo comp
pretty fun stuff
it has these puzzles where there are viruses representing objects or animals and you have to find a program compatible with them
this is how you beat a parrot #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch https://t.co/61GKMfWkRP
beat a parrot with a tongue twister
the beastman fight was hard but i got there
Roll clutch #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch https://t.co/mKg5y3hQjV
wouldn't have survived without roll
Ooh, very nice
I haven't played Battle Network since I was a kid, but I remember it being so much fun, and watching these clips reminded me of those days. I can't wait to play em all someday.
well that someday may be sooner cause the LC lmao
aaahhh, I forgot to pick up BN LC months ago
I've been a little tight on money though
hopefully i can pick it up in a month or so
I picked it up last April and I got TOTK'd so now I'm going back to it again
The "expend <element> chips" scenarios are back-to-back
why
hospital comp ate through all my fire chips
and then after that flameman made me eat through a number of water chips
well at least those are done
i also finished the ranked navis in the undernet thing
that was neat
near the finale now
yes! Satisfying kill #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
I have beaten Alpha
this was a desperate plan
i tanked all the hits so i would make muramasa stronger in the next round
that was extremely risky
Started BN4 sometime ago
Not yet a fan of the format
Got some bad scenarios like the sparkman one
Gutsman scenario is always guaranteed in red sun
So i finished the first tournament and got guts soul
This is a marked improvement over guts style in BN2 and BN3
BN4 is interesting
The souls thing is awesome but the story is very odd and bizarre
Supposedly BN3 was going ton the last game but BN3’s sales were incredible so Capcom demanded the series go on
BN4 had the highest sales of any BN game and then immediately never recovered after people actually played it
Yeah this just feels like a bunch of tournaments until the asteroid crashes or is near
Always heard BN3 was gonna be the last game
That felt like a solid ending
Then BN4 came along
Has anyone seen this vid or nah? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8I5c5Vksjw
Designing For is a series which looks at a level in gaming, and analyzes a theme central to that level's design. In this episode, we look at the Mega Man series: what makes controlling it feel good, how to design a level to challenge those controls, and how one Robot Master somehow manages to embody both the best and worst of the series: Napalm ...
The best way I've heard it described is like a very odd anime filler arc. It's incredibly aimless, and I think it was badly rushed too.
well it does feel like that having completed the den city tournament already
this format wouldve worked if the scenarios before the matches were all good
but not all of them are
ahem sparkman
tho the toy robo comp was enjoyable
getting 50 points before eagle tournament, not so much
Even BN5 more or less completly ignores it out of exactly two things
doesn't help that the translation was truly god awful
I have no idea if they fixed it for Legacy Collection, but the translation was very bad
I ended up getting Red Sun, so sadly I never got ProtoSoul since I didn't have Blue Moon 😔
some of the scenriros in the tournmanet are just really weird
like insanely out of place and odd in this univierse
translation is indeed very bad
translations werent touched at all in BNLC
I was warming up to the game then the red sun tournament gave me the thunderman and coldman scenario
very cool
thunderman scenario has mega man suffer a curse and every second he travels in the net, he loses 20 HP per second
at least this one is over quickly
the coldman scenario is the worst if you dont know the required chips in advance
so the gimmick of that is to repair antennas by destroying snowmen then lighting up torches
these torches require specific chips
one of these is affected by bad translation
one of them asks for lavapanel K but that chip doesnt even exist in this game
it's actually heatbreath K
so these translations can actually be bad for story progression purposes
but at least now i beat the red sun tournament and finally, asteroid plot
Finally beat Duo
FINALLY #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
This and dark soul mega man were cool fights
Duo was really hard tho
I got lucky on the draw and got both gunsol1 and gunsol ex
It's still terribly balanced cause most of the chips in this game fucking suck
Mostly v1 chips against duo
A lot harder than Alpha by a long shot
Overall the game left me feeling pretty mixed
The tournament format could have worked well if those handful of scenarios werent so bad
Started BN5 last night
Breath of fresh air compared to BN4
It is something new but at the same time feels like it's back to its roots
darksword fail #MegaManBattleNetwork #NintendoSwitch
I like how I ended up killing Nebula Gray with a Mark Cannon + 10
I thought that was funny
Also now that I've beaten BN5, it is now my favorite BN game so far
Ursurping BN3
Loved the "dreaded" dungeons like ship comp and gargoyle comp
I thought gargoyle comp was a fun set of puzzles
It reminds me of Tower of Hanoi
It's kinda like doing math lmao
Liberation missions are awesome but man, are the target phases a little too strict sometimes
If you like fire emblem you'll definitely enjoy this game
A lot of my complaints are about backtracking
So i was made to go to drill comp 3 times
Gargoyle comp 2 times but at least the second time is just running towards the end in a straight line
The souls in team protoman i really like
I used search soul and napalm soul a lot

Mega Man 2's "Bubble Lead" mystery has been solved. Kitamura confirms it's "Lead" as in to move forward.
This has been a topic of debate since the game first released.
bubble lead as in the element never made sense but it felt so wrong to say bubble lead as in leader
Playing through Mega Man legacy collection since I just bought a ps5 with ps plus and it was one of the games I downloaded. Finished the first and second Mega Man. First title was fun, even if it was rough sometimes but the second title...i think its worse
i'm curious as well
I just didnt like most stages. The wily stages especially. They were fun at first but the later half is just kinda boring or frustating. I also found most weapons kinda trivial. I think I only used the Leaf Shield once. And the final boss was underwhelming
yeah im not a fan of the wily stages in 2 either and also contains some bs bosses that were not enjoyable
Yeah, Boobeam trap was so annoying
Oh thats rather interesting
I honestly thought the opposite because of the doc robots
Yeah the doc robot stages and his battles are just rehash content. But I found it neat somehow
It was a neat idea but i just had problems with its execution
But glad you liked it at least
Not a lot of people like 3
Yeah, I didnt know that the game was unfinished until someone told me about it
It was mega rushed yea
I didnt intend this pun
The best part about 3 is the rush jet
Its so broken and you dont lose energy for it as long as you stay airborne in between jumps
Omg yeah. I love it for that
Finished Mega Man 4 now. It was awesome, I really enjoyed it
I thought 3 was alright but 4 just blew it out of the water
Having two castle level sets is so much better than what the doc robot thing was going for
I never liked the two castle idea
In 4 I’ll admit it did kind of work because Wily returning was meant to be a plot twist as he seemingly died in 3, but by 5 and 6 it was clearly just to pad the game out
yeah i never liked it in 5 and 6
Finished Mega Man 5
I really liked it, but I think I found 4 more fun. This might be the easiest mega man game I have played so far. Enemies drop lives more often, the mega buster takes out enemies in seconds and most of the bosses patterns are easy to follow, the dark men were neat though. I like the extra task of unlocking beat and even if it was just pad out, I liked Proto Man's Castle as well
Yeah this is probably the easiest one not accounting for difficulty modes
Just finished Mega Man World 2 and 4 alongside Mega Man 6 and 7. Mega Man 6 was a really cool send off to the Mega Man NES titles. Mega Man 7 though, holy shit for a game that only was in development for 3 months it was awesome. I really liked how Bass was presented in this game although I think it was kinda obvious he would betray Mega Man. Little things like Freeze Man's taunt or Shade Man's stage Ghost n Goblins references/easter eggs are cute. I am so glad they added a shop in this game cuz the final boss was brutal. As for the Mega Man World titles I played, Mega Man World 2 was..interesting, it was bland how it was designed most of the time but I liked the ost of it and some things like Quint and the final stage were neat ideas, granted I played a GBC edition of it that was released this year so the ost was pitch corrected. Mega Man World 4 in the other hand was awesome, I really enjoyed the stages, the theme for the wily stages was catchy and the cutscenes inbetween the game were a neat addition, especially the one before the final battle. Ballade was also neat even if his redemption and sacrifice felt kinda sudden. Also funny that this game has a shop and the main Mega Man titles didnt have one until Mega Man 7..
yep the shop started with the world titles before 7
7 is like World 6
the wily capsule in 7 was also intentionally designed to be frustrating and requiring the use of etanks
i will never forgive inafune for doing that
havent actually gotten to world 2-5 yet
its just so out of the left field cuz the wily machine was piss easy
Kinda excited to start Mega Man 8 now. It looks really pretty from what I have seen
It is the difficulty spike to rule them all
It looks very aesthetically pleasing
Replayed Mega Man 2 after like playing most Mega Man titles (I still yet have to play Mega Man 11) and I feel bad for treating this game harshly...its okay now for me
I had forgotten how versatile the metal blade is in this game
I think my dislike for Mega Man 2 mellowed out after realizing that I loved Mega Man 9
