The improvements to the online function alone make it great
not talking about the random disconnects though which do suck but usually it's just someone else's fault, and if it's within the first minute the game will just end itself instead of letting a 3v4 happen
Also the story mode is pretty cool, way better than the snoozefest in splatoon2

It's definitely a great time! And personally I haven't really experienced any bad connection issues. Personally I find the music really fun to listen to. There's plenty to keep you busy what with a new season every 3 months, a monthly event (splatfest, big run, eggstra work), story mode, table top, catalog grinding, and even experimenting with new weapons!

Tenta missiles have gotten some nerfs but they are still pretty broken in that you can just see everyone
