One thing I really dislike about then is the aim. When I have them on it almost always throws me off. Like even when I was playing Mario Galaxy I found myself constantly needing to calibrate where my pointer would be. Splatoon 3 felt weird. I would move my controller one way but sometimes when i dont want it to move at all or just stay still it moves. Like when I have a clear target I want to shoot but a slight movement of the controller just fucks up my kills.
So permanently turned them off and i dont regret it one bit

my current strategy is "long line directly up -> long line directly up -> huge card (usually marigold)"
when the big card gets countered its a bad time but when it works i can box the opponent into a tiny area and it feels great
my games are always 85-75 (enemy win) or 65-105 (player win)
the idea is for early game to go something like this
because like. what are they gonna do now? idk if the AI thinks of this at future levels but i have never seen baby jelly get special points fast enough to meaningfully break through the line i draw and even when they do get special they dont try to go through the line they just fill in some gaps on their end

it was a griller wave. they were on top of a ledge the griller couldnt follow. i was going to go up the ledge and heal them but they all went down the ledge directly into the grillers attack. i did heal them because i was the last player left but predictably they did not last long
