I made a funny set based around dodgebolt countering into dragonpiercer
but dragonpiercer is just so weak
it should be like 5x stronger if you do it off a dodgebolt
it does a lot of damage against the training dummy, but against real monsters, most of the hits are hitting bad hitzones
we need a switch skill that turns it into a single hit move
and does like 2000 damage
this was my attempt
it's such a fun move
get the buildup boost, get the bladescale hone, get the special ammo boost, all so you can do 400 damage

sword and shield: charged round force replacing charged leaping slash, it moves you forward as you do it and combos into spinning reaper
dual blades: but some kind of raw-favored attack string to make raw dual blades feel better (even with feral demon mode it feels very weak)
hammer: increases the time it takes to switch between hammer modes, but adds more iframes, as well as iframes when going from yellow to blue as well
hunting horn: an attack where you twirl the horn and drill into the monster with the handle, doing a lot of element from silkbind shockwave followups, and does cutting damage. Replaces some random move in the chart.
lance: charged fade sweep, is basically charged sweep, but steps back in addition to the charged sweep. Synergizes with shield tackle, because it lets you keep your positioning while using shield tackle to reset your pokes.
gunlance: elemental shelling lol (even though this would force me to make so many gunlances)
charge blade: energy blade replacing saed, does raw damage so good for impact aed playstyle (which is otherwise kinda bad)
switch axe: alternative sword guage mode where the bar depletes faster in sword mode, but is built up by axe hits (idk if this is a good idea, I just don't really like how the sword gauge works)
insect glaive: forward aerial vault from mhgu (this is more of a straight upgrade, but whatever)
bow: single hit dragonpiercer, just does a lot of damage in one hit
light bowgun: melee attack that plants a special ammo? probably too much of a direct upgrade, but it would be fun
heavy bowgun: idk I haven't played this

Fixed an issue causing two Marionette Spiders to be consumed when one is attached to a monster and the player tries to pull it back at the exact same time that the monster changes areas, also resulting in the player not being able to pick up additional Marionette Spiders.
i had this happen to me before and it was annoying
