the only magic we really see is her putting people to sleep or healing them in Mario RPG.
Plus arguably her ability to hover, which some would say is just from her dress.
And we kind of saw something along those lines when Peach was showing Mario the training course anyway. Instead of being a traditional hover, it was her dress catching the air and acting like a parachute.
Anyway, the only time Peach has "strong" magic is when it's in conjunction with Star power. Like PM64's Peach Beam. Or in the M&L series when she combines her power with Starlow's.
In main series it's only the hovering (which is debatable), and being the only one who can break the spell in SMB1.
So there's not really even a reason to include it in the context of the film.

Honestly the Mario movie didn't really give me a reason to be interested in the DK side of things, so I'm not too upset that the rumors might've been false
Like it was mostly cool just to see the characters, but I didn't really feel all that interested in their kingdom (at least from what we saw).
they could definitely come up with interesting new stuff outside of the village, but I don't really feel like there's a reason to be interested.
Of course, throwing in the Kremlings as villains would definitely just make things instantly more interesting. Give them their own conflicts to overcome.
The existence of the Kong army alone raises some questions though. What's the reason for DK to go out on his own adventure if the Kong Army exists? The only reason the Kong Army didn't help fight Bowser at the end is that they got cut off when Rainbow Road was destroyed.
If K Rool invades the Jungle Kingdom, what's the reason that the Kong Army can't work to take care of it? There are workarounds, of course. Maybe they have to go to Crocodile Isle. Maybe the Kong Army is kidnapped early on because they're ambushed.
I guess I just struggle to put together my own plot. So the most interesting part about a potential DK movie is just how they'd handle the plot--because I definitely can't come up with anything good-- as well as how they'd adapt content from the DK games, since they changed so much.
