I'm on Steam/PC and I've placed my first house but am stuck across the river and can't move

Sorry to hear this! This bug can sometimes happen if the house is placed too close to a cliff or the river.
If you'd like I can take a look at your save game and move the house for you to continue?
Otherwise, if you're not that far into the game you could start a new game

No worries @inner lynx ! I would love if my save could be fixed. It's only my first house built, but I put a couple hours into catching/selling insects. 😅 I see the files are in C:\Users\jflem\AppData\Roaming\Wonderscope\Hokko Life\SaveData\01 - do you need the whole folder (compressed), or just a specific file?
I definitely placed it right on the river bank. Are there any guidelines for how much space I should leave in the future to avoid this bug? I'm only a few hours in, but really enjoying the game!

all submitted! I will be distracted with work for a few hours, so no rush! I can probably find time to test any fixes later this afternoon (Pacific time); that's what KVM's were made for 😈 lol

here you go, make a backup of your existing file first, but pop this into your 01 save folder and the house should now be in a better location for continuing the cutscene

awesome! at first I thought it was still broken because I couldn't access backpack/pause menu, but I got past that once I interacted with the house's sign
