I have had my Pixel 6 for almost 4 years now (planning on upgrading later this year) I've been putting off updating my phone for a while and when I do, the launcher becomes so much worse. The app list now auto complete (or suggests) apps or actions and it's super ugly. And the bar at the bottom of the home screen (circled in red) now just takes me to google, meaning I can no longer drag apps from that search onto the home screen. I can't exit it out of it by sliding down anymore either, I now have to fully exit the app. Is there anyway to fix this please help.

You have to drag apps from the app draw or the search in the app draw
And the search at the bottom of the home screen is part of the launcher, I don't think you can remove it
Yeah I know but it was more versatile before, I could drag apps from that search and onto the home screen instead of using the app drawer. (it also looked better) and it didn't take me to the Google app, it was a search inside of the launcher, not a shortcut with extra steps
And like I said in the post, it was able to do all of that before I had to update it
Unfortunately that's not something that can be fixed
Without getting a new launcher anyway
you can get back the "old" UI when pressing on the google bar
You need a PC with ADB installed, developer mode and USB debugging enabled on your Pixel.
and you need to type these commands
adb shell cmd device_config override launcher enable_one_search true
adb shell am force-stop com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher
tried these and they didn't work even after a reboot
what version do yiu have
