What model of Pixel? Pixel 6
What OS are you running? Android 14
What carrier do you have? Fido
Is your device rooted? No.

I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with the battery of my Google Pixel. The battery life itself is not great, but that’s not the main issue. There are two problems:

Battery drain at 20%: Once the battery drops below 20% (and sometimes even higher), it essentially has no power left. The battery percentage will plummet within seconds, sometimes dropping by several percent instantly, and it might only last for another minute or so. This makes the last 20% of the battery feel like a complete illusion.

Unreliable charging: The phone randomly fails to charge. Before today, sometimes the charging cable does not work, so I switched to wireless charging a few months ago. Most of the time, this works fine, but just today, I experienced a sudden battery drain. I placed it on the wireless charger, and after an hour, I opened the phone expecting it to be charged - but it was only at 9%, and then it immediately drained to zero.

These issues make it incredibly frustrating to use.

the Pixel 7 is really cheap and doesn't have much noticeable issues
