pixel 8 weather app not available?!

i tried to get the new weather app on my pixel 8 but it tells me that my device is "no longer compatible" with the app as if i was banned from using it. before i used a pixel 9 weather app apk but i uninstalled it

i hate google for things like that

its such an apple thing to do that. all that bs ai stuff is done on a server anyways. i ported almost all google ai stuff on a tablet with a geekbench score so low it can't even complete geekbench 5 or 6 and it all worked fine but yeah sure the pixel 8s are just too slow
same as the pixel 8a having a camera so bad it can't get night mode camera in snapchat but pixel 6 gets it. so stupid
