So I have showed this game to a friend and talked some hype into him. He has told me he will buy it on release. Thing is... He is a real pen and paper roleplayer and when I told him I had read that this game is actually based on a pen and paper rpg he asked me what that game was called and if the rules for that game can be found online somewhere. So here is me asking for my friend 🙂
#Name of the pen and paper RPG and can I find the rules anywhere?

I think it can only be found in the heads of the trese bros.
other than buying this game or the previous mobile game I don't think it exists
sorry, no the pen and paper games were never something that got to a point we could try to publish or share them
the fantasy one got the farthest with some art being purchased back in 2010 before we swapped into video games full time
and our youthful love of really crunchy RPGs (because coudl game for 18 hours straight) has waned
had the same happen with tabletop Warhammer 🤣
I see 🙂
Thanks for the answer. It is a bit of a shame as I know for a fact that nothing gets my friends juices punping as much as an elaborate spreadshit laying down the system for various dice rolls in a rollplaying game 🤣 .
But at least now I know what to tell him.
Could the upcoming lore book be extended into a campaign sourcebook with a separate kickstarter?
Unlikely ❤️
We have to focus on our promises, not making up new tasks unrelated to our core business
A lore book could be used as a campaign document shrug,
There are also any number of tabletop RPGs that go for cyberware-enabled futurism - Cyberpunk RED, Shadowrun, Cities Without Number, Blade Runner RPG, Cy_BORG, GURPS Cyberpunk, etc.
Honestly, I find the setting information to be the most compelling. Systems come and systems go, but worlds are unique and exciting.
that would be the lore book
But promises will be delivered in a couple of years and a TTRPG sourcebook would be additional promotion for the franchise right? 😅
Syndicate - roleplaying the dark future, Cities of constant rain...
Gamma World is a really OLD tabletop game that has some of that futuristic post-apoc vibe with plenty of mutations, old and new tech, implants, but it much more of a ruined world with far less pure humans and more abominations 😄 Still, very fun game.
