What if every class had nodes that were unique to it

#

Vanguard (if you have never noticed) has two nodes near the top that no other class seems to have.

  • +1 Reaction and -1m Move Detection Radius

I've never commented on it before because quite frankly, up until now I've never thought of something for ANY of the other classes let alone all of them

Soldier's Branches are broadly

  • Tactical Broadcast (Tank support)
  • Full Auto (GET SOME)
  • Precision (Mid range sniper)

I thought of one today for the Soldier class. Armor Shred! With the classes where they are now, the only real reliable armor shred we have is the Ironback X2 Shotgun, which is of course a weapon that anybody can pick up and has no identity

Scourge has some Shotgun talents, but they are NOT about effecting armor shread at all. Matter of fact I would say that the class is about dealing damage specifically ignoring the amount of armor the target has

So why doesn't the Soldier pick up that mentality of "if we can't go around it we must go thru it"

Only one I've found so far that has to do with armor shred and it is on the Precision branch

I'm not following you. every class has nodes (all of them!) which are unique to the class. what do you mean?

So sniper has a few nodes that add a little to your hit streak. What about if you don't take that talent?

Plaster-Cross is major shredder

Keep in mind, they will be Breacher/Assault and other classes added. We don't need the small existing class set to cover every interesting angle ๐Ÿ˜

winkles nose and see, that's why I think those nodes should be strictly above the middle path of the sniper's tech tree. I think those nodes are great, really amazing and really give that identity to the sniper's nodes and tech tree. I'm not a huge fan of seeing them scattered on paths clearly not benefiting from it. Waste not want not ๐Ÿ™‚
