I've run into a situation that's kind of frustrating, the merc that needs to be on the Salvage Breakout mission to convince his sister is injured and won't recover until after the mission expires. There's an argument to be made that its the risk of using him on the previous mission and getting him injured so I should be SOL. Even so, it would be nice to have a recovery option to bring him along anyway but with some major debuff like 1/2 movespeed and/or increased chance of permadeath. ( I did throw a medium priority feature request F10 on this)

thanks for the post. that is frustrating. no chance for one of the Drs. to accelerate the healing? hard requirements for specific mercs to go on missions will always have this potential, you could put them in cyber surgery or get them shot up on another mission. the story system generally blocks them from going on legwork due "other story concerns" to prevent that angle

I assume that having a doc accelerate the healing might be an option once the clinic is built, but right now I don't think i can do anything but wait for people to recover. edit: nevermind, I just found that option in the barracks.

QoL suggest - when you click on an injured merc on the timeline, it pops up the medic contacts

yeah, it shaved 2 days off of 14. I had a save before the last mission so I'm just re-doing that

It does seem decent flavor for a merc to insist the injury is just a flesh wound and go on the mission anyway. Probably debuff 1 AP and 10% move speed for nearly healed injuries and 3 AP and 20% move speed for injuries with much more time remaining.
