a nice change for air command would be making it so you can tell your planes to target a certain ship without needing a weapon (right now you need a weapon for it)

update: you can do this without the command deck but with the gun (i somehow did not know)
this basically means command deck is a waste of money on almost every carrier (i was beginning to think it was worth something if you could use it for plane targetting, but you cant)

the real carrier meta is actually a small shitter carrier with a musket and small ammo store
alternatively, a gun that cant shoot (grenades) so you can keep targeting forever (or hold fire on musket that works too)

hussar rifles for self-defence

I own a hussar rifle for home defence

4 pirates jump onto my ship

as I grab my powdered wig and hussar kit rifle

blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he’s dead on the spot

draw my musket on the second man, miss entirely because it’s smoothbore and nails the neighbour’s wyrm

I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the deck loaded with grapeshot

the grapeshot shreds 2 men in the blast, the extra shrapnel blows up the suspendium balloon

fix bayonets and charge the last terrified rapscallion

he bleeds out waiting on the guards to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up
