#Building only weapons/modules/capabilities that would make static defences more viable

foundations could also be more interesting by incorporating small amounts of storage or some other function
An additional function of foundations or the soldier bunk/barracks could also be buffing non stone armor types
As to make them more viable for buildings without effecting performance on airships
yeah, buffing armour isn't really something needed for buildings
again, the main issue for building is not their durability (big buildings can be horrifyingly durable), but entirely their lacking firepower
I don't think that change would really do much
the problem with big buildings is that they aren't viable in a different way though
well their main issue is the build cost
but other than that, buildings like these are horrifyingly durable (orang's large buildings in this case)
lots of weapons scattered everywhere, mostly empty volume
they kinda do
they're a bitch to take down
the problem is
again
little firepower
the one real problem of buildings
Its needed for wooden buildings imo
Since stone is really just better wood in most cases
At least for a building
Wooden buildings being viable would be cool
I mean yeah no shit
That's partly down to being immobile to be fair
wooden buildings are only really a thing for the aesthetics and that's it
buildings mostly suffer from blast weapons
so wood is obviously not ideal
Yeah but the issue is stone supersedes wood in all aspects
I want wooden castle larp SMH
Since if buildings built like land or airships in the sense of having all weapons be able to face one side and no need for support
They'd be much much stronger conceptually
well duh
iirc buildings currently sit at 0.5 airship cost
So essentially for build price your only advantage is durability really
"hmm yes, i want cheap american suburbia to defend my land, what do you mean a light breeze is enough to blow it all into the air?"
Wooden castles were a real thing my man
yeah but they kinda stopped appearing as often when cannons started dominating
and airships also bring the issue of mass bombardment
so wooden castles are kinda just bad by that point
I mean they were a thing in Japan even after cannons
japan is also like 50% hills and mountains, so bringing in big cannons wasn't as big of a thing for them
It would still be weak but cheap
idk, I don't want like three billion different random buffs that won't get explained anywhere
I like when things are consistent across the board
That's fair but it could be explained in the description of wooden armor
idk, I think it's a bit dumb
also feels like a useless change
building top priority is making them have actual usable weapons
the rest is basically cosmetic
Yeah
The only ones that seem properly nice to me are turrets just because they have good firing angles anyways but their not spectacular
Larp grindset always been about sacirfice practicality for style
vanity costs pain
Ye wooden on like some cost part not the whole thing and that more like fortification to stall than just made to counter cannons
That what earth work for
I wish we could put suspendium in buildings so i can have floating static structures
I often will buy ships that are bulidngs, put them where they go then never move them
Yeah that'd be great
You can always have a pillar
floating castles or towers on sky islands would be really cool too
