#Treating My Room With Blankets

Thanks. Now I just need to know how much of the room to treat.
What mic and what kinds of recordings are you making? What shape is the room and where in the room are you recording?
An SM7b. The recordings will be a podcast. I will take some pictures of the room and upload them.

That’s a lot of flat reflective surfaces. To keep your costs down you might want to build a PVC booth so you only have to treat a small space, or get something like a clothing rack and put the blankets over the bar on that and put it close to you.
Something like this behind you and to one side #audio-help message and then tack a few blankets up on the walls that are closest to you.
@upbeat sedge Ok I get what you mean. And how would I hang a sound blanket on the clothing rack, just drape it across it? Also, how should I hang one on the wall in front of me? Would command hooks do the trick for a sound blanket?
Also, do you know of a rack sturdy enough to hold a heavy sound blanket? I am looking on google but not finding much to help me.
You just drape them over the clothing rack bar. To get them on the wall you can use a grommet puncher and a curtain rod, or you can get some heavy duty command hooks.
Will do. Thank you @upbeat sedge.
I ended up getting three of these https://a.co/d/6NH14w3
Do you need a large garment rack that does not take up too much space but can store different items in partitions? This garment rack offers ample hanging space for your daily outfits while taking up little floor space. Also, the off-the-floor bottom metal shelf is ready for your shoes, bags, and ...
I will order the blankets later when I get home. Any recommendations for those?
Do I need to buy professional sound blankets like the ones in the link above that Kiva sent to get good results? Is there a little less expensive option that would work good?
You can the sound blankets, or buy a bunch of heavy moving blankets. Both work but you will need more layers of moving blankets if you go that route.
Please Link me to some of both you would reccomend
Something like this. Any heavy moving blankets will work. Just need more layers if they are lighter.
