very odd indeed. The electronics in it should be ok as most things should work up to those temperatures (they get soldered at temps a lot higher than that). However things like the mic diaphragm I'm really not sure about, as it depends on the material it's made from. If I put an empty yogurt pot in my dishwasher at 50 degC, it'll start reverting to the shape it was before it was moulded into a yogurt pot. If you are in anyway not happy, I'd say don't even open the box or take any cellophane wrapping off (if you haven't already) and return it.

This is all assuming you have a no hassle return policy from the seller
wonder who the courier was...
Do you possibly know what the material that its made of on the rode podmic?
Also what kind of issues would I face if the diaphragm was damaged?
I have plugged in the mic like an hour ago and i could hear background noise and table knocks on 45db
No I don't, unfortunately
Not sure, probably frequency response issues to it completely being non-functional
You'll need to give it a thorough testing now you've opened it up and see if it seems impacted
I have just spoke to amazon and they gonna send a replacement :(
GG @remote basin, you just advanced to level 1 !
Glad I did that just to be sure
They will also investigate the issue and they gave me like a 20$ discount lol
Ngl when I read it's very hot I thought it mean it had high gain
