They haven’t let us in yet and people are getting antsy.
Free concessions is a nice perk though I wish they gave us the poster at the end.
Great job making magic @plush cave!
Mickey is promoting you to level 44 !
The characters actually made smart decisions in this lmao I appreciated that
I was ready to roll my eyes when they saw Osha in front of the dead body and I thought they were gonna do the classic trope misunderstanding
I’m glad the characters were made aware there are two of them pretty early on
Having that extended preview of the first episode was pretty ridiculous right before just seeing it again. I’m definitely enjoying it and glad that we seem to be moving plot wise at a decent clip.
We didn’t get the extended preview lmao
They made us sit through the Mufasa and inside out trailers instead
lol people broke review embargo. Alan Sepinwall of Rolling Stone was super negative. Random other site was super positive. I hoped this series wasn’t going to be super polarizing but I knew it was always going to be.

Here are some cards from the Star Wars card trader watch party
Do I need to watch ALL of Dance Moms to understand The Acolyte or will I be okay if I’ve only seen a few clips
300 years ago, still new aliens we've never seen before
Twitter had claimed him and created a Yord horde
Ala #NubsNation
I have uh 2 more hours of work
I agree that Yord is definitely one of those goodie two shoes that is very easy to hate.
I liked it, good pacing, the martial force fights are my new favorite
great || wasted casting of CAM sadly || but predictable
The Star Wars transitions were a little distracting ngl
Yord is so cool I can’t hate
Also loved the rogue one reference of having some random new creature that causes permanent brain damage which is never gonna come up again
Am I still the only one who’s seen dicks the musical
The parasite creature reminded me of that movie
When it flew off
THAT WAS AMAZING

there’s 3 different types of the acolyte fans: the “sol and osha😭” people, the high republic fans freaking out at the tiniest things, and the yord horde
I’m all three
ALSO
WE WON
ANOTHER HR CHARACTER WITH MOMS PLURAL
My wife was asking if they meant "mothers" in a Night Sister-esque way, but we're hoping for space lesbians.
Yeah I assumed mothers as in culturally they are raised by women.
I do hope the show gets better though. There was just something missing for me and there’s NO way they actually killed “her” right? That be tremendously stupid but still left a bad aftertaste.
Also the chair droid scene had me tipping so bad. The coolest scene so far.
The poster really gave away CAM’s fate
Someone called it Star Wars by CW lmao, yup pretty much nailed it
Kelnacca is Star Wars Shrek
until they all start playing secret keeper in the hallway of star labs this is better than a CW show (so far)
It’s a CW show with a budget
if it's season 1 of the Flash I'm ok with that
I'm not drawn in yet, something feels a bit off about it so far for me, but I like Mae and Sol
Not bad so far. I do have a bunch of "WTF, wait, I don't get it?" moments
and I'm surprised no one else is talking about it.
So I'll ask it here... What's up with Mae thinking her sister is dead?
Is this the whole Skywalker thing and keeping the twins apart, raised by two different Jedi groups?
We’ll find out more of that over time but I’d just wager the fire separated them and it seemed the other was consumed from their own respective perspectives
I'm waiting to see a 700 year old Yoda.
Fun thing about Yoda in the high republic is he just fucks off and does his own thing for the majority of it
that'd be an excellent spin off. Yoda just doing drugs and getting laid around the galaxy
lol
oh...see I'm thinking the Jedi saw both sisters and saw darkness in Mae and purposely left her. this angers OSHA and she turns to the dark side by episode 5.5
that's why they have to atone and Torbin felt guilty
the Jedis are definitely guilty of something
probably started the fire and blamed it on Mae
in efforts to "kill" her, but Jedi don't kill the unarmed
I think the Bioware MMO Star Wars Game "The Old Republic" is Legends/EU status now, but it reminds me of the two twin brothers who were kind of on opposite sides of the Force

We got another force dyad bitches
OH and since they have two moms I wonder if they were another force midiclorian virgin(lol) births
IVF with the sperm donor being Darth Teeth
so there will be a whole "I am your father" deal here too
Stenberg and Headland are stunned that the character of Osha remained a secret to the majority of the audience.
“I totally thought it was going to leak earlier, like a lot earlier,” Stenberg tells The Hollywood Reporter.
it did
😭
I am glad it didn't stretch on too long and we moved on quickly from it though.
There was a trailer that had subtitles for Osha and people were like WHO
Like maybe two weeks ago
They straight up mentioned it in interviews like a week before the show came out lol
Also it leaked like 2 years ago
as always, the answer to that question is resoundingly yes
Normal people: omg Carlac is from the clone wars!
Me: Master Sol and Osha were reunited on the same planet Bo Katan slapped Ahsokas butt
Lmaoooo yordhorde got picked up by the official Star Wars account
i hope he doesnt have social media
bro is getting so much shit for the anakin blew up the death star faux pas
😭
i just recently watched that episode and that moment confused tf out of me
Honestly he’s so real for that
Like it’s okay to mix up shit it’s human and endearing
This show is really enthusiastic about the Occupational Safety and Health administration
Damn right
I’m honestly sorta convinced that the big twist is gonna be that Mae is actually dead and osha is the one doing the murders (probably not knowingly tho)
Does Yoda fuck?
Yoda shockingly never fucks
finally, some good star war
alright so
I like all the characters so far, especially Yord.
My only complains are the CGI shots of the ship are janky as fuck. Got that Phantom Menace era CG look to em, but most of the show is on the ground so thats fine.
I'll get some shit for it but I think Sol was a miscast. Its so jarring seeing him with long hair like that but maybe I blame Squid Game. Sol looks like he's cosplaying a jedi, like he's wearing a wig.
I'm enjoying the plot so far. Curious what happened on Bendok.
I am very aware that English is a very foreign language to him but its hard to see him struggle with it in this show
But its really clear that he's not getting the intonation needed to showcase his emotion. At least he's very expressive with his face.
And did they really just kill Indara off like that lol
Also does anyone find it weird that Mae's supposed to kill these jedi without weapons, and yet she keeps grabbing for their hilts? but after she kills Indara, she doesn't take her saber?
cant wait to see who Not Kylo is
It’s not half as bad as obi wan tbf
I don’t think there’s gonna be a big evil master reveal, I think him and mae exist to show that the Jedi order is flawed
And this is why I’m thankful for being face blind with actors and also I’ve never watched squid game
Make it happen disney. You have the power
Yord being shirtless and swol reminded me of Kylo TBH
I wonder if she's trying to disarm them, or she can kill them with their own weapon.
We shall see.
We shall see.
When the scary-teeth man appears.
How is that even possible?
Lets say fight club rules 🤷♂️
The Force is whatever we want it to be
I don’t even really know but I feel like there has to be some other twist there
The first episode is alright. Knew it from the first episode she had a twin.
its pretty slow so far
the twist is that Darth Teeth Helmet Guy is her dad. Raised by her two moms, but conceived via IVF.
the Jedi saw that Mae could be "evil" via the dark side of the force, and started the fire
Mae was told that her family died in the fire, and was kept on Brendock. Osha was told Mae started the fire and her entire family died, and was taken offworld to train as a Jedi Padawan.
I do think you’re right with the fire, but honestly I think darth teeth might end up being irrelevant in terms of a big reveal
idk that they started the fire, maybe it was always burning
(Honestly, the twist will probably be that the twin's mothers survived the fire that the Jedi set, but were grievously injured by it. Mae was probably still with them for a bit, but was left orphaned, and she likely discovered that the Jedi set the fire)
iirc the head writer said an acolyte is basically an apprentice to an apprentice, which makes me think that someone (probably qimir) is the actual Sith Lord above earth teeth
Episode 1 is slow I cannot lie
Things start moving in 2
I read articles that people are speculating that Qimir is Darth Teeth, but I don't buy it.
the apprentice to an apprentice thing is intriuging though. That's essentially what they did with that The Force Unleashed games.
Yeah, I think qimir might be worried that darth teeth is gonna betray him, and so he’s manipulating mae into taking him out basically
This is all way after the whole Rule of Two with Darth Bane... I could see Darth Teeth as still being the main Master and that he's been working on raising Mae as his apprentice. I do wonder if we'll see Osha turn to the darkside as it appears the Jedi have been lying and hid that she's a twin, and that Mae lived.
Then if Mae and Osha are both Acolytes/Apprentices of Darth Teeth, it'll be an interesting thing where there can be only one...
fight to the death!
Who the hell is Qimir
Oooooh that guy LOL
Iono if it was on purpose, maybe a little too on the nose but CAM scenes felt so damn Matrix-y
Surely she’ll be utilized again, ain’t no way they went out of their way to get CAM on board just for 3 mins
We will see her again for flashback of the fire
They can always do more High Republic stories with her. Also it's definitely more an homage to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hp_KhU2h5XQ

There's a ton of ads on the ad tier of Disney+ for this show. I don't think I've watched a new show on D+ since I downgraded
Episode 1 done. I hate prequel Jedi, so I'm happy to see that the actual protagonists are *real" Jedia and not "I must become entirely detached from reality" Jedi.
In other words, I am not in the Yord Horde
I liked that the first shot of the episode had two metal thingies sticking out of the water in the distance that were angled in just such a way that they resembled a torii gate
See I’m the opposite. He’s the perfect portrayal of why the High Republic and Prequel Jedi were so flawed. Love seeing the contrast with someone more reasonable and not as extreme like Sol
Sol is giving me mad Qui Gon vibes actually
Yeah, I get that. This show is already doing a better job at showing people like Yord as flawed than the prequel trilogy did
Guess that worked
he's like a boy scout cop tbh
Obsessed with how some star wars fans are criticizing every single aspect of the Acolyte and then everyone else is forming a Yord cult
In my yord lane
Moisturized, unbothered, healthy
so far its my favorite show that involves lightsabers.
Which isn't saying much but
okay let me rephrase, its my favorite show involving Jedi
Mando started to fall off around the time it involved lightsabers
^^
I can’t say my favorite with Jedi until they match the peaks of Obi Wan but honestly I have a good feeling that could happen later in the season
I want this show to knock my socks off like Obi Wan episode 3 did
i like how much mystery and intrigue there is in this
definitely threw me in a loop where its like "why is this jedi murderer in her bunk talking happily with her cute ass droid"
Isn’t Obi the only other show with Jedi.
Oh Ahsoka, I always forget I never finished that
Great job making magic @covert abyss!
Mickey is promoting you to level 59 !
The only one without Jedi is andor 😭
And that’s why it’s the worst one
Yes I support
I am in love with evil lesbians one of my favorites
(It’s just her and ventress)
Absolutely hunty.
They are eachother’s beards
Torbin I need your lore
What did they DO to you
They didn’t know how to age my guy up lol
He’s definitely gonna be in a extended flashback
Also live action Barash Vow I screamed
i barely got thru the first book lol
It nourishes my brain worms
It would’ve been so cool if instead of kelnacca being the next Jedi Mae is gonna kill it was klaud and he was just chilling
watched some weird theories by eric voss/new rockstars.
I imagine he read all the same leaks/rumor docs that have been put out there, so maybe he's just putting out some weird theories of his own to throw people off
in leaks ||it's reported that Manny Jacinto was using a lightsaber. Apparently the Yord actor said how it was impressive that Manny could do spins while doing some flip, while he still couldn't. This was at Celebration last year.||
So maybe the whole theory of the Qimir character being the Sith is true... or ||after reading some rumors, what if he's also a twin from the same planet as Osha and Mae. Apparently Osha and Mae's mothers are part of some Witch Coven. Maybe the only way that they have kids is through witchcraft in the force, all in efforts to have the force dyad stuff in place. The Jedi recognize this, and see the potential for evil in Mae, and start the fire to separate the sisters, and end up killing the other mother (who's also a twin, LOL).||
It's probably as simple as ||Manny's character actually being the one guiding Mae who was masked up. It's a trope they'd easily do of the master hiding in plain sight and while he played stupid most of the time, he was pretty insightful about the Jedi. More inciteful than just a contact to get her things.||

Yord is space John stamos and I’m here for it
Should sell these at the blue milk stand
Speaking of
There is absolutely zero merch for the show at Disneyland and that’s so lame
Obi-Wan, Andor, and Ahsoka had merch before and on release date of their shows
Like you can get some merch on demand tees from Amazon but that’s it
But we got a “photo op”
Kick ass photo op though
Falling onto my knees at Walmart
I thought it was Tuesday and I was wondering why I hadn’t seen a single person talk about the episode
I’m finally showing my boyfriend the first two episodes and he’s so invested
yeah i'm not feeling it, this script needs to get better
did they make the coven || out of wood soaked in kerosene what the hell was that ||
There’s more to the story than what we saw in this episode I bet.
"the Jedi don't take children"
shows an 8 year old a ton of cool spaceships, a wookie, and neat lightsabers
"see, the children decide"
Oh I’m sobbing
That was so fucking good

IM YELLING
IM RUNNING INTO THE WOODS
Cool lore but idk if it's the script or acting but that first half of the episode was meh
Also was hoping to see Mae's side of this cause other than the background on the witches we already knew what happened
ya I thought we’d at least see how mae survive
felt slow but they put a lot of focus on this story for this whole episode
I'm pretty sure we're gonna come back to this so this might payoff
But it's kinda painfully obvious they didn't die in the fire
And we already knew something was up from Mae being alive the last 2 episodes
So much better than the first two episodes. Bit disappointed we don’t see more yet of what really happened though. Definitely a show better enjoyed binged than weekly. Are the witches suppose to be relegated to the Nightsisters? Reminded me a lot of the Wheel of Time.
regarding mae and osha, some of you have never been chased or chased your sibling around the house with a knife and it shows
Mae may have started the fire, but was she under someone's control? They can apparently do that.
Plus, why's everyone dead? Like, all at once? With no burn marks?
Something's up.
Methinks something Sithy.
We need another pov
Tobin’s ||scar was FRESH af when osha wakes up on the med bed. Did he do something bad that night that led to him willingly offing himself?||
We shall see
there's a shot of Torbin being ||attacked by Kelnacca in a setting that looks like the witches courtyard.|| been thinking it may be how he gets the injury. something that happens in the night after Mae ||locked the door until Osha ran out into the room.||
The Acolyte means a lot to me because I also have an evil twin brother who I thought was dead until he killed my 8th grade math teacher

Playing PUBG with my friend and his work associates, and one went off on how Star Wars sucks now because it's all about Space Lesbians.
If you wanna trash on Star Wars, don't make it sound rad as hell.
space lesbians are the glue holding the earth together
Theres a million things you could rant about but “space lesbians” is the funniest thing
Dude also had a Punisher Thin Blue Line profile pic, so I'm sure there's a lot to unpack there.
The worst part about Ep3 was just the child actors they had arguing with each other. Poorly written dialog...
the kids were...fine, the chant on the other hand...
I was just chuffed to see PhilosophyTube being a space witch.
That was neat.
i want to know what the chant means 😭 is it like that Avatar State and they learn more through the Thread during the ascension and further training?
It was so nice to see her get a (albeit small ) speaking role. Glad she wasn’t just in the background
Probably similar to night sister magic where their tattoos enhances their powers and connection to the force.
I’m pretty sure PhilosophyTube is the first ever trans actress in Star Wars 😭 shits crazy

|| oops we only have 8 episodes, gotta CW the plot along ||
There is now a lore issue

It's totally|| Qmir||
I hope think that ||they’re doing a double bait||
It definitely feels like there is something deeper going on
I thought that ||maybe Mae actually died and some weird sith magic brought her back, but sol saying something about explaining the real story to OSHA back in the ship is sprouting doubt in that theory||
||qmir is also really young||
What’s the lore issue?
There is no lore issue
BAZIL MY BELOVED LITTLE GLUP SHITTO
I SCREAMED AND POINTED AND CLAPPED
I love all the different species we are getting in this show.
They're making it kinda obvious that the bad guy is Qimir. Conveniently never seen his face, never in the same scene, already on Kofar.
I hope it's just a bait and switch and that it's not Qimir. Or that he's a twin too...
Better yet. He's a triplet.
"the power of one" - mother aniseya
"The power of two" - Mae and OSHA
"The power of many" - Qimir and his triplets 😂
My latest theory ||Qimir's evil twin is the actual Acolyte. He's not the Apprentice. He was being tested by the Sith Apprentice and has to do the "kill a jedi without a weapon" and is using/manipulating Mae into doing the Jedi killings for him. He's a little further along in his training, but once he's able to finish this last task, he'll be the Acolyte.||
For the lore/legends things it's because it's caused a debate with some fans as mundis birth was listed as 93 bby from a insiders guide
so basically now wondering if they make him older than they listed him as or show is not canon.
Plus his line about the sith in TPM movie
24 hours ago, not a single person on this earth cared when Ki-Adi-Mundi was born
Im ngl this episode has a lot of terrible line deliveries, idk if it's the actors, dialogue, or direction but it was really rough
Wookie being dead when they got there was a neat twist
I was watching it like “there’s no way they actually kill the wookie this early” then bam
its why I called it a CW style episode, the little side conversations in the hallway were stilted and mostly just exposition dumps to setup future character interactions or play secret keeper, strong Flash Season 2 vibes
At less we’re not in Flash season 3 and beyond territory yet
Haven't seen Flash, but yeah, weird, stilted side conversations.
We’re still missing backstory. Trailers showed ||a fight between Torbin and Kelnacca || that we still need to see
I really want to know what happened that screwed these Jedi up so profoundly.
Torbin took the Barash Vow and isolated himself to atone, Indara has a mark next to her eye in the past but TWO when she's killed, and Kelnacca has that double-swirl all over his place like he's the Wookiee Unibomber.
What happened?!
Makes me wonder how involved Sol was in whatever went down.
Maybe he was too busy looking for the girls instead of doing whatever the other Jedi were up to.
Now this could connect the movies maybe if the connection to the sith happens
I love how each week this show provides the dumbest discourse
could be nipple too
Maybe stop worrying about BBY and start worrying about Y you don’t have BaBes
not in this economy
Extremely funny now that I’m actually able to watch the episode that all of the Ki Adi Mundi complaints not related to his age are by people not actually watching the show but listening to what someone told them
“This ruined canon because he said the sith are extinct but there’s a sith in this show” they literally don’t even know it’s a sith they suggested it was a splinter order dawg
😭😭😭
Ki Adi Mundi age "discourse" is wild, like damn no one was review bombing Bad Batch when they wrote over Kanan comic
none of them were pretending to care about the bad batch lmao
This seems to happen every live action. I'm betting ahsoka s2 is next canon break
what about the acolyte attack on the wookie?
I read Star Wars encycelopedias when I would eat breakfast as a kid. I can read Aurebesh. I know that Ki-Adi-Mundi is a Cerean, and therefore has two brains. He's also the only one on the Jedi Council that can be married, and has multiple wives due to a fertility crisis on his home planet.
Star Wars details are fun, but GOOD LORD, anyone who gets THAT worked up about his timeline needs to get a life.
That's coming from the guy who practiced lightsaber forms with a PVC pipe instead of going to a Jr. High dance.
Also it’s like the point that the Jedi council hides shit and even refuse to believe qui-gon that a sith is out there.
In the books when Jedi started dying to the nameless they swept that shit under the rug so fast
It wasn’t until the came back a second time and in greater number did they go oh shit put everyone on high alert
Yeah I think acolyte is making people realize that having the Jedi order be as flawed as the prequels made it is not very fun
Which ofc is in no way acolyte’s fault
it's fun if you want a real universe, but Disney only allows that in Andor
LETS GOOO
I won’t lie, that scene could have had a better chant I think 😭

my genuine issues with the show, like there's a good number of rough or flat moments and I really feel like its on the script and direction tbh. but i feel like if you say that online it's gonna get lumped into the dumb hate haha
i was really excited about this show too but at this point i'm very "i'll watch it if i have time" vs logging on right-away
Show has issues but it’s nowhere NEAR this bad -.- review-bomb man babies
One thing that irks me about Star Wars in general is that they refuse to have certain species be good guys. Where is our trandoshan or weequay Jedi?
Let’s see em come back in the limelight! More love for the guys who are dealt a bad hand
The trandoshan Sskeer is in the marvel High Republic run as a pretty important character
Finally caught up with this, I have been enjoying it! But interested to see where this all goes! I appreciate all the costumed aliens, theres this one in the Jedi temple that looked like a Large cat, Big fan of whatever that was.
unfortunate, but it's all the people who think star wars is woke because the main characters are lesbian black females, and an asian male.
|| I audibly gasped with the 2nd main party kill, didn't see that coming ||
||the straight up neck break is CRAZY||
||I don’t think we’ve ever seen someone get their neck snapped like that in Star Wars before||
😭
we got || Jedi kabab via force pull, neck break, and three body stab || all in one
I think I like the reveal better than what I was dreading it to be. ||Manny|| really brought it with a nice dark gravitas.
they did a good job, proper pacing through the first 90% of the episode
||we need a reshoot of obi wan and general grevious just punching the hell out of each other instead of dueling||
The material arts in this episode was amazing.
god damn it ||I hate that they killed off the padawan and yorde ||

No worries we are in a spoiler channel after all. It’s just courtesy before more people get a chance to watch.
Dammit
oh Manny Jacinto 🥰
It’s been 11 hours and I’m still processing what happened
I was really hoping that ||qimir was a red herring, it seemed like they were making it too obvious to hint that it was him. Especially since the order implied that the bad guy could be a former Jedi, I thought that it would be someone new and older, introducing a new character that may have even killed the witches that night||
Still, it’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the series unfolds now
My guess is that Qimir is still the Apprentice, and that he has a Master, but is looking to overthrow his Master, and has been searching for an apprentice of his own, hence why he was trying to get Mae. The conversation between Mae and Osha seems like the Jedi were entirely in the wrong, and that they kidnapped/brain washed Osha. I'm guessing that Mae will end up killing Sol to try and be back in Qimir's fold (else he's going to kill her). I think Osha and Mae will end up reuniting after Qimir tells Osha what the Jedi really did, and he'll take on both the twins as Acolytes and look to overthrow his Master in Season 2.
It's already pretty dark for this last episode, but I'm guessing the end of Season 1 will be like ESB. All the main Jedi characters are dead, and this Sith Apprentice and his two twin Acolytes are out and about.
He definitely got ripped whether for the role or not
Yord horde is taking this very well it seems
Oh now here I can see the eyes..that's creepy
someone posted this and talked about it in another star wars discord. It's pretty interesting take. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheAcolyte/comments/1dooook/even_in_the_revelation_of_our_triumph_we_see_the/
Essentially, the quote is pretty similar to some Jordan Peterson person, who is very anti-trans, and opposes "identity politics". The reddit post ends with "I'm interested to see where this character goes, but if my hypothesis is correct, it's ironic that this show might finally start to appeal to previously hostile audiences via the very phenomena I suspect it is critiquing. If we're only interested in Star Wars when toyetic men are stylishly violent, did George's original message fall upon deaf ears?"
I can see where now that this guy ends up killing most of the cast, isn't a black women (but is still a POC), that it could be made relatable to the same people that give the show so much grief and are doing the ratings bombing.
The ratings bombers = Sith.
Ooh interesting
It might be further calling out the haters than appealing to them though. I’m sure the creators knew what they were doing in that aspect
okay, but look at those cannons on Manny. you think Qimir and Yord were working out together? 😂

Leslye Headland says Kylo Ren’s theme was purposefully in the score of ‘THE ACOLYTE’ Episode 5.
“It is there on purpose, but I can’t tell you why, and I can’t go into what it is. But you shall see”
(Source: https://buff.ly/3VOK9Gt)
He actually kylo ren
so...|| venestra is Jason's master...lightsaber whip and scars on his back ||
also Mae with the 2 button hold murder
We just started the episode is this fucking Ach To
Okay there’s no porgs it can’t be
The ending shot was dope
THAT WAS SO GOOD
qimir speaks like how a ||libertarian philosopher|| writes
Im getting major Nozick vibes
The one shot I with they’d put in
I love them and will go to war for them
THIS MAKES ME SO UNWELL
SHE NAMED HER SHIP AFTER HER FIRST PADAWAN

All writer/directors who realize that hot actors should take off their helmets and be hot please stand up…not so fast Favreau
I need twenty of these little bird bitches
Look like pteranadon porgs
They are cooking bro on the asphalt

I swear I posted this before
Distraught we’ll never see yord kiss another man 🧍♂️
Quick reminder that Jedi aren't celibate.
what the fuck do you mean the release date for the qmir helmet is september 2025
you mean those kendo sticks?
No I mean lightsaber toys for kids
i rewatched ep 3 last night, the night on Brendok from Osha's point of view. i have a feeling tonight is the recap from Sol, possibly even ||Qimir because wtf is his connection to Sol?||
so i'm ready
picked out lots of little details i'm hoping for answers to
good episode, more plz
Oh my god
Next week better come with a season 2 announcement because how the hell are they gonna wrap this up in one episode
Same...
Especially that tag line about ||noble intentions will destroy every jedi in the galaxy||
Plus people are online ||comparing sol to qui-gon||
Only tagging for those not seen the show yet
What was that dusting? The witches way to become with the force and how is that connected to Kylo Ren?
OH MY GOD THEY ALSO STRAIGHT UP MENTIONED THE GREAT DISASTER I SCREAMED
What disaster?
#TheAcolyte spoilers
it’s crazy how hard she clocked them.. many years later qui-gon jinn, acting under “noble intentions” decides to take that boy from tatooine and train him, inadvertently dooming all jedi like 😭😭😭 https://t.co/SRv57hBYEk

Absolutely gagged everyone
The Great Disaster
We won so hard
I’m digging the credit music
I like how Kelnacca came out completely innocent
My goat did nothing wrong
All wookiees are innocent
Its a little weird that Kelnacca was being mind controlled, yet he could swing around his lightsaber with ease and precision. Think about how awkward it would be controlling a huge wookie for the first time with 15 others all giving input.
who'd win: 30 force witches controlling a wookie or a Jedi master
I heard his theme too lol
||that Jedi master was strong enough to kill all of them when she untethered kalnaca||
yeah I liked that, was a clean reveal of the previous scene, makes me think she tapped a bit into the dark side to do it too
i've been a #MaesBaes since episode 1 because.... idk.... i like villains and anti heros. finding out that she ||accidentally started the fire and even tried to put it out before getting help?|| ahhhhhhhhh
This just started a humongous Boulder of guilt and everything rolling that still goes on current timeline
Even though he could swing it and such, his movements seemed kind of brutish with wide-sweeping swings, like someone who hasn't used a lightsaber much before.
Plus, he messed up Torbin's face with his claws. Using their claws as weapons was a MAJOR no-no among Wookiees, with most being banished if they dared to do so. Kelnacca wasn't in the driver seat during that attack, but having thirty witched in one's head at once has to mess someone up.
Poor dude spent the last part of his life painting witchy stuff on his walls in exile.
He deserved better.
I’m surprised theres an end credits song
The yord board is taking me out
Just the black series figures and the two light saber forge toys
This could have been in merch
I'm ready for the council tonight if it happens
Here we go
||How dare they cliffhanger this of all nights?!
||
|| so the timeline does show the earliest now for some powers and this investigation will be interesting since the truth was a bit spun ||
hoolllly crap that was a good episode
Definitely was..
oh wait I just end the end credits song, I take it back
the fights were so damn good, hire those people for every star wars fight moving forward
I've reserved judgement for when the show finished in its entirety, and while it had its moments I can't say it was that great
Got to admit watching this episode did feel like deja vu in a interesting way
||Also the whole Yoda thing I feel was super cheap. ||
the pacing was much better this episode, I think this should have been 6 episodes of longer length, or a tighter movie
|| why? he was around, it shows the start of the Jedi becoming political ||
It felt like it ended and then it was like oh yeah we forgot to include that guy gotta pop him in
shrug, || that's good you tease a new season, didn't feel that unearned to me ||
i dunno, he's like 900 years old. a lot of fans have been wondering where he is because he should be around. if they didn't throw him in, rabid fans would've been asking it like crazy.
they retconned Ki-Adi's age but he's one that should absolutely be around
i feel the same way. if they do end up doing a season 2, the writing and direction needs to improve vastly.
I feel it was incredibly convoluted.
i will say i did enjoy the fights and the expansion of sith lore, but that's really it
It built up to a mystery that I didn't feel was earned
this bit by Jeremy Jahns is hilarious and kinda sad at the same time because I feel like it's what should've happened https://youtu.be/SqxVUtcaVmE?si=GzH3puCMtOJoLkvq&t=370
THE ACOLYTE: EPISODE 7 shows the events of Episode 3, from the Jedi perspective....and the revelation is a solid contender for "most unfulfilling part of this mess". Here are my thoughts...
#TheAcolyte
edit: not for this channel
Bah David Harewood deserves more then just a brief cameo. Great Easter Egg ending and definitely setting up for a second season.
I can't wait to see who the dark shadow is in S2
Me when they did the transition from the hand to hand fight to the saber duel
Me when they did bleeding
This was good for the opposite reason Andor was good - Andor rules because the showrunner didn’t give a shit about Star Wars, The Acolyte rules because the showrunner gives an extreme amount of shit about Star Wars
Straight up I think my favorite fight scenes in the whole franchise
However disney needs to chill on the forced episode count and lengths next time
That hurt the pacing
Locked in the entire episode
That was so fucking good
More women in Star Wars thank you
Yoda in the high republic fucks off and does his own thing so it’s in character he sat all this out
pretty good episode
When Osha picked up the lightsaber though, I honestly thought it was a twin of Qimir
I thought there was going to be some crazy reveal that Qimir was also made from a Vergence
So I'm going with that was Darth Plagueis
most likely
I like how quick Qimir noped out when Vernestra sensed him
As soon as I hear sol trying to reason with osha and mae..as soon as he said he was doing what was right and she's too old to be trained ..my mind went to the spongebob narrator voice thinking ..100 years later
I think it’s to provide closure for ||the green lady framing sol. She isn’t going to dismiss the threat no matter what she told the senate||
Have some respect for Vernesta Rowh
you can tell who has and hasn’t read the high republic simply based on their reactions to seeing #him and it’s hilarious #TheAcolyte

It’s so funny bc he is the master of sweeping shit under the rug
I'm not surprised since yoda is more than old enough to still be on the jedi council
you don't even need to read HR stuff because i haven't. you just need to know Yoda is like 900 years old by the movies and the cane isn't totally for show.
Osha is gonna become the Master 😂
I got a odd feeling on s2 with some plot point running through my mind
It became obvious pretty soon after
I can't remember if she's seen Mae since she sliced off her hair with the lightsaber
She hadn’t
Wait, but Osha always had shorter hair
so she would have recognized that it was her, not Mae with longer hair.
Things are about to get interesting with the investigation and that senator earlier in the episode
could be denial? she didn't believe there could ever be a reason for her to kill Sol at that point, so she assumed it was Mae?

I mean, why would we put that together when that's Indara's lightsaber? It led us to correctly figure she was dying right away.

Oh I love them all
I gotta say Leslye is so real for going "how do I show love for my favorite THR Jedi who I'm bringing into my show. I know I'm going to give her this whole tragic thing with a padawan who went darkside. just give her the whole Obi-Wan. also I'm casting my wife as her."
Oh
Oh
This ruined my night
From the first 2 episodes, I guessed it would be Osha who turns bad. 😛 #1247346653338275840 message
Catching up on the last few episodes rn
Why did the mother act to the Jedi like she didn't want Osha when she made her decision?
Like I was kinda confused why she told the witches I'm choosing mother, but with the Zabrack she kind of threatens them, then she gets stabbed she drops the act? But why was she pretending to threaten them?
Like I get what the logic/what the character is thinking but I think the pacing of the episode makes it confusing
Rewatching the episode with my parents
Sol vs Qimir gotta be one of my favorite saber fights ever
Can you believe Sol is on official Jedi record as having killed his own padawan
What is a Star War™? The better question is what has it become? Ages ago it was a film made by a California hippie named Georgie who loved race cars and worried about an authoritarian future taking away his race cars. Now that he is old and lives in an authoritarian future that has taken away his race cars, he sold the evil empire he created to ...

https://deadline.com/2024/08/the-acolyte-canceled-no-season-2-star-wars-disney-plus-1236044233/ good call being stricter now, they really need better quality control
I wonder if they’ll continue the plot in the comics
what exactly were the quality problems with this show?
