Good going to the theater for the A/C movie. Entertaining enough and I think I liked the Easter eggs in this more then in the the Muppets Haunted Mansion. More subtlety I guess. Also I was definitely expecting Rosario Dawson to have been the main character and not Lakeith Stanfield.

Also! Holy shit they nailed the casting and chemistry for Ben & Alyssa, huh? Dead wife narratives can only work when you actually nail the relationship that’s haunting our survivor and they really did make you feel the chemistry and connection

I laughed way too hard at that one. Along with her saying she’d been in there for probably weeks.
Also! I adored the costumes in general, they all had very distinct styles that felt organic to the characters while also being a little old-fashioned with vests and stuff.
Just an excellent example of modern costuming that conveys Character
My only beef was that if I personally was living in a haunted house with my son I would not be wearing 3” heels around at night. I’d be in running shoes or basic flats.
Aside from that it was fun, I loved the kid dressing formally and it being a plot point
