Yeah but small percentage of people go see on Thursday I feel. Especially since I’d say most people go after 6 pm anyways if they do, so most people are still in theaters I’d say. Idk again, I just think its stupid to post it so early. This is /film though which has been going downhill since Peter went and became a Disneyland influencer lol.

See to me again, the logic doesn’t make sense. If only lets say 10% of people see it today, wouldn’t it be better to post it Saturday night when lets say 45% of people have seen it and maybe 15% are leaving theaters? Thats my thought process, have something out then when more people have seen film and will see it right on front page, versus now and they have to look for it.

Idk the more Im thinking about it, the more I think it was a mistake hyping this as the big emotional farewell when its really not that. Like sure, some of them kinda leave at the end, but they’re GOING to come back

I... actually kinda disagree.

It was right around Act 3 where it felt like the movie was being setup as a curtain call and it certainly still feels so. I think it's because the underlying theme of GOTG is "found family" and you have this cast of ragtag characters kinda going off and doing their own thing now.

Also probably as a farewell for James Gunn as a director in the MCU

We're probably gonna see Star Lord again. . . Warlock. Maybe the new iteration of the Rocket-led Guardians

But I think both Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana are on record saying they intend this to be the last time they portray the characters.

Granted, we won't know what'll happen in the future and that's fair!

But I think the way this whole thing was directed was as a "If this is it, this is it." And it's clear a lot of love went into it.

I’m very glad Gunn subverted expectorations and did not kill any of them though you could say he did kill rocket but brought him back. 2. Cosmo is the best. 3. It's good but not what I expected but also it was kinda predictable

This is one that's gonna take some time before I'm pretty definitive on it

Will say tho visually , whatever camera Gunn uses looks really good and I love that he likes to move the camera
