This is awesome.. keep it up
may i patpat
you may
AWWW THEY LOOK SO CUTE
had to do goatfrey too
spending my entire adolescence drawing the same goat n sheep ocs is finally paying off
Lol
i dont have a design yet cuz i just started working on her but im making a woolhaven oc‼️
hopefully talking about her here will get me to commit to designing her
her name is Jophiel/Jophie n she was a clothier n dyemaker (as well as a disciple of yngya)
she was in capital L Love with yngya so she did not take the thought of the ritual well (which is why she isnt named after a watcher angel)
im thinking ill have her wool be dyed a light cyan to show her devotion to yngya n to denote she's a dyemaker
:o
id been wanting to make a cotl oc for a long while but could never find the right niche in the narrative to fill but woolhaven is prime oc territory
finally designed jophiel ✨
the palette was pretty hard to figure out to have it be vibrant to fit the title but not glaring/clashing, so i used the fleece of the lost souls as inspo
originally for her wool i was just gonna do afro puffs but thought the braids would frame her face nicely
a pinch of info about the bishops in my currently unnamed au based around the goat n their universe since we dont know a ton about it yet so fuck it we ball, i plan on designing them soon but wanted to send this here first as a preamble (ignore the mention of the duck siblings, this is from a larger post on my cotl blog)
while i dont have any specific names in mind yet, i do have some ideas. mainly using the name of a destroying angel for the ram n a greek name for the owl, since the choice to make her the bishop of war n knowledge is because of the association of owls with Athena, greek goddess of wisdom n military strategy
I'm very intrigued by the ram fella
as the fifth n youngest bishop, rather than chaos they represent conquest, n theyre the sort of "face man" of the bishops of the old faith in this au
due to the difference in association/symbolism/stereotypes between sheep n goats despite both being sacrificial beasts, theyre very holier than thou n are a bit of a supremacist
highkey i might just use the title of my sideblog (Ichor of the Gods, Salt of the Earth) as the au title if i cant think of anything better
I HAVE FINALLY SETTLED ON NAMES
the ram is Mansemat, the weasel is Pekko, the snake is Serket, n the owl is Nikita
additionally i will soon be finally making my own lambsona so i gotta settle on a name for that mf too
finally finished this bastard
some extra facts about them for fun
-can be quite condescending — while they do genuinely care for their followers, they also see them as naive and foolish who would die without their leader
-prefers not to sacrifice followers unless they need to cull the flock or have discovered a spy
-doesn't hold much of a grudge against the bishops or narinder after subjugating them
-favored weapons: crusader's blade, apostate's cleaver, battler's bludgeon
-favored curses: divine blast/derivatives, touch of turua/ithaqua, death's squall
-has experience with utilizing poison in combat — particularly favors bane weapons
-great love of flowers and floral decor, their cult is full of it
-has a soft spot for small critters, enjoys ranching
-left eye blinded in a hunting incident as a child, still has depth perception thanks to the red crown
-great at knucklebones, terrible at flockade
i plan to do more of the goat eventually when i get more of my goatverse au down
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
gotta think of a name for them too
lol
nah it'd be something serious
first id have to figure out what i wanna do for the naming conventions of the goats since in woolhaven all the lambs are named after angels
what about taking inspiration from that one comic dub? they made the goat spanish and called em 'malachi' or smth
i could pull the names of demons of the ars goetia maybe
idk what comic youre referring to i dont watch comic dubs
ah ok
though this may not even affect the goat depending on if i wanna keep them closer to the lamb or not
cuz if not i could have them actually grow up in the goat equivalent of woolhaven (current working name is Horned Valley/Horned Gorge) rather than have them get moses'd like the lamb did
i still have a lot to figure out for this au, id mainly been focusing on the bishops
which i also still need to design
the lamb having woolhaven as their home:
the goat having the firey pits of a gorge as their home:
sorta, not really fiery
just a normal gorge
my idea is that their father god (yngya equivalent) split the earth itself to make the gorge n then became the mountain that shadows it as a sacrifice to create a safe haven for his disciples
interesting
i dont wanna go full generic satanic aesthetics with the goats since for one thats not as interesting n for two a thing im going for in the goat genocide is that there's a social aspect to it as well with the bishops committing stochasitc terrorism against the goats
cuz yknow the concept of the scapegoat n allat
mmhm
im thinking for an equivalent to The Rot, the desperation play of the last goats would be to try to revive the corpse of their father god n have it destroy the world
sort of?
its still desecration cuz theyre basically trying to zombify it
but like with rocks
Ooh
n have it reduce the world to rubble in vengeance
petrification n lots of earthquakes
kinda reminds me of the xenolith from plague inc evolved /pos
i can only imagine how devastating it would've been if it worked
Wait you watch them too?
ya
since one of the few bits about the goat's universe we do get from canon is that it's "darker/more twisted" i really like the idea of this version of the rot actually working
n the goat having to stop it in the middle of it
Does make me think the opposite of rotburn would be like.. a bit similar to the Shadow Orbs or something
Or maybe they'd replace Charged Shards and basically act like the resonance disruptors
not sure, definitely something ill have to think further on
So you kinda just. Take them and move them to your base so IT doesnt get petrified
probably something to do with Ichor, since that's the "other half" of the au basis
like how woolhaven is winter and rot, my goatverse is ichor and earth
that kinda feels like it'd be the rotburn equivalent (maybe?)
..or would that be the petrified crystals?
sounds cool lol
