black screen after downloading woolhaven. COTL worked COMPLETELY fine before woolhaven was installed

What did you do to make the bug appear?:
nothing unusual. just tried to boot up the game

Are you able to re-produce the bug? If so, how?:
opening cotl normally and attempting to play the game

@upper vault is there a known way to revert my file to pre-woolhaven so that I can beat shamura on the save file I wanted to use? I tried turning off the dlc but that doesnt help. I just want to be able to get myself to the point where I can play woolhaven when you patch it for all Mac users.

Updated and verified game files, but it's still happening for me, unfortunately. I was advised by lorna on steam to send in my save file, MM.log and Player.log – but I'm not sure how to find those on mac?

try this:

Open Finder.
Go to the Go menu, then select Go to Folder....
Enter ~/Library/Application Support/ in the dialog box and press Enter.
Search for the Massive Mosnter folder within this directory.

or

go into your library, find your LOGS folder, do not open your application support folder first this is just in the library. Then find Massive Monster

This worked for finding the logs I needed, but I don't know what the save file looks like. I believe I'm relying mainly on steam cloud at the moment, but I do have a "Saves" folder I could send along, within the Massive Monster folder if that would be helpful. Thank you for bearing with me, as technologically illiterate as I am. I'll email these over ASAP.

Yep the saves file!

they should be called something like slot_0.mp

slot_0 is your first save slot, slot_1 is your second and so on

We are aware of a separate black screen issue on Mac where the title is obscured with a large black circle/square at the centre of the screen on some AMD Mac devices. We're currently looking into this issue - sounds like this could be the one you're having

Could be, yes? I get audio and technically (I'm guessing from audio cues) can move around, but I can't see anything at all from the moment it loads. It's also quite stuttery and the title screen itself that read "Cult of the Lamb" is obscured partially, so circle sounds like it could be right!

Unfortunately mine is also still bugged. Cannot send a report. 15 inch macbook pro. It is NOT black in title screen. It is still the SAME issue of the ‘adjust your brightness until you see the eye’ popup for a new game thats covering screen with black fog. You can see thats what it is in photo mode. Happened on stream @summer kiln.
