im just gonna post the tyan lore ive been writing for the past few

Tyan and Kvarcus are siblings and were separated at birth due to family drama. Tyan lived with her emotionally supportive Mother.

Tyan grew up sheltered from the idea of religious groups and cults by her mother. Her mother had already lost her husband to the idea, she wouldn't be losing her daughter to the same ideals enforced by the Old Faith.

Tyan made an honest living, working various contract jobs offered around Silk Cradle for minimal amounts of coin, in which her mother was very supportive and emotionally available.

The day after Tyan's 17th birthday, she woke up to realize that her mother had suddenly disappeared without a trace from the humble cottage that they resided in, with scattered papers and a trace of pink wool covering the residence.

Her only birthday wish that year was for her mother to come back.

It didn't take long for her to have to move out of the cottage. The silence was too loud.

She soon found more high-paying, but more dangerous contract work. She continued making an honest living for herself, at the cost of herself.

An eye an a tail were a fraction of what she'd lost.

One day, on her usual job board, a notice from Shamura's cult had completely overwhelmed the rest.
Realistically, she had no other option. It offered free bedding and food.

• her tail was lost by complete accident in a workplace accident and she has several workplace protocols named after her as a result

• Was appointed due to his general disregard for other people's lives (which made him an extremely potent killer on crusades)
• Got killed by Leshy (and subsequently had his body fed to the him) and his cultists so many times that it eventually broke his mind
• Resigned his position as a Red Crown Vessel after the 8th failure at killing Leshy
• Started kidnapping and eating people just because
• Now lives infamy as an immortal spider that will cannibalize you
  (Helob and Distra are kinda besties too)

The Fox

• Was the last Red Crown Vessel before Ratau
• Despite also having a blatant disregard for other's lives (like Helob), and actually being an extremely effective cult leader, still failed to kill Leshy (due to prophecy or some shit)
• Was eventually discharged as a vessel
• Met Ratau in his lonely shack and started to actually enjoy Knucklebones
• Won lots of games against Ratau
• Ratau was unable to pay The Fox because of lack of coins
• The Fox then goes on to kill Ratau and Ratau goes on to become a vessel off of that little death
• The Fox becomes extremely mad and jealous at the fact that Ratau was allowed to be a Red Crown vessel for a longer period of time and had more devoted followers (in Shrumy, Flinky, and Klunko as just a few examples)
• Has now devoted his freetime into trying to kill Ratau

I feel like elaborating on Coral, so here's a trivia list!

Coral

• She's native to the small island where Jalala comes from and has lived there for her entire life!
• She's over 17 feet in total length but she's actually just straight up really big
  -# for reference, Tyan cannot hug her fully because her arms just straight up dont reach fully around
• She was actually friends with Yarlen before he left for the Old Faith
• Her favorite food is frozen mangoes
• She's named Coral because as a child, she looked like a piece of coral. She used her camouflage to change her scale pattern, but kept her name because she thought it sounded pretty. Slay queen

Lands of Jalala's origins trivia!

• Is significantly more technologically advanced than the Old Faith (while not having direct electricity, does have more to it than cults, which are actually extremely rare there since it's not a religiously based locale. It's basically just a really rural area with a ton of shops and housing)
• Is more diverse in terms of animal species than the Old Faith and is generally very accepting of outsiders
• It is completely outlawed to even mention the Old Faith
• Due to rough mountainous regions around the locale, it's actually nearly completely impossible to access by boat alone
