Bryn was never quite the same as the other lambs in the flock.

While all the other lamb children were mute, Bryn was very prone to extreme emotional outbursts and generally unnerving behavior, which greatly disturbed their caregiver.
Despite these quirks, Bryn had lived an adequate childhood.

On their 18th birthday, they were gifted with a set of moon earrings by their caregiver.
Upon wearing them, they would experience bouts of drowsiness, erratic actions, and lessened emotional stability.
Despite these side effects, Bryn found the earrings very pretty and kept wearing them.

One day, their caregiver had arrived back to their home in Silk Cradle from a small wandering market to find several books shredded, confetti-like pieces of paper littering the floors, and a saliva-like substance leading to the closed door of Bryn's bedroom.
When the caregiver opened the door after knocking several times to no answer from Bryn, they had found...

Bryn wasn't Bryn anymore.

What awaited them at the door's entrance was an entirely new entity. One similar in appearance but obviously entirely different.

This new entity was extremely energetic, excitable, bloodthirsty, and called themselves by a new name.
Distra had revealed themselves as a part of Bryn. A part of themselves locked away out of fear of being seen as a weird outcast.

They were two halves of the same twilight.

After this alternate personality/form had been discovered, the leader of Silk Cradle knew they couldn't be allowed to live, and they were subsequently sacrificed without hesitation, and they were buried with the rest of the lambs.

On the one year anniversary of Bryn's execution, a new God of Death was crowned, and the power of resurrection had benefitted Bryn and Distra.

Lamb had found Bryn, resurrected them, and indoctrinated them into their cult.

Bryn's new life had begun.

OK BRYN/DISTRA TRIVIA TIME!!

• Fino was actually the one to sell off the earrings to Bryn's caregiver
• Distra was always a part of Bryn, but Distra gets unleashed via either extreme emotional outbursts, or if Bryn specifically wants to summon them at that moment
• Distra's tail is alive and bites very hard
• Distra is directly responsible for Tyan's mom going missing
• Bryn wears a golden skeleton necklace as Bryn doesn't want the only other sheep left alive to die of old age
• Bryn is often brought along on crusades because of Distra's raw killing ability along with ease of access
• Aym x Bryn is only canon as a QPP relationship, though Aymgoat is the romantic relationship (which everybody is A-okay with)
• Bryn and Distra are inseperable besties with an owl named Fittle (i'll loredrop that eventually)

• He fell in love with Fino after he caught them checking out a book called "How To Pick Up Men for Dummies" and it was an insanely effective conversation starter
• His head marking actually changes color to white if he doesn't spiritually believe in anything
• His favorite food is, ironically, mangoes
• He's the only one who's allowed to ruffle Fino's hair
• He has killed a lot of spiders in preparation for if Fino gets hunted by Helob again

Fino

• Their favorite food is blueberry pancakes
• They're vegetarian because of the Helob encounter, but they would've had to go vegetarian anyways because their diet was some hot dogshit beforehand
• Their entire family had names that end in either "o" or "a" (Fena and Tilo come to mind)
• Despite how I generally portray them as a gremlin who can't rub their braincells together, they're actually incredibly smart and analytical which helped them a lot with their business in Silk Cradle before they had to abandon it

Tyan

• She can't stand mangoes so Kvarcus never gets to enjoy them
• She wears a veil to hide her identity on jobs since she has a bad reputation of being strictly a contract worker
• She's ambidextrous
• She really likes ramen noodles but she will physically recoil at having to drink the broth, so she usually just gives it to Fino instead (it's vegetarian don't worry)
• She has full locomotion of her glass eye unlike Aym

Jaryn

• They're nonverbal
• The chunk of their left ear being gone is actually because an Anura cultist ended up attacking them as a kitten on accident before they ended up getting transferred over to Silk Cradle
• They were besties with Fino before their execution due to Shamura being a hater

Ryan

• i actually have none except for the fact that she can pour drinks

• Her name is based on Oleander which is a type of flower

• It's completely unclear if she's a cat or a weird forest deity
• Baal is her favorite sibling (sorry Aym)

• They've eaten at least 20 people since their resurrection and indoctrination into Lamb's cult

• Bryn actually hates the fact that Distra is a cannibal and has written a lot of journals for Distra to read regarding it
• Distra is actually the cult chef when available since a cannibal has to know how to cook their food (they don't eat raw meat, that's avoiding salmonella 101)
