Me and a friend did some brainstorming a while back regarding new traits for the game, figured I should post them here.


  • Desperate:

"Will never attempt to dissent or threaten to leave the cult, but instead lose loyalty, even levels if low enough when faith is bad."

  • Psychotic:

"Will never be intimidated or gain the coward trait. Harder to re-educate when dissenting. Give bonus faith and loyalty when cruel rituals are performed in their favor."

  • Devoted from Hell:

"When this follower is turned into a demon, increase its base effects by +50%."

  • Prude:

"Really doesn't like nudity, multiple spouses or mating with non-lovers."

  • Well Versed:

"More effective at re-educating dissenters."

  • Workaholic:

"Will work non stop until they pass out from exhaustion or told to sleep/affected sleep until fully rested. Has increased work speed."

  • Nocturnal:

"Will sleep during the day and work at night. Will catch night critters such as spiders and fireflies randomly."

  • Still Kicking:

"Will still work like a younger follower when old. When 'Respect your Elders' doctrine is called, they give double faith for being a good example."

  • Picky Eater:

"Refuses to eat lower tier meals (unless starving) but always gains faith from exquisite meals."

  • Sensitive Stomach:

"Lower tier meals always cause vomiting or diarrhea."

  • Compulsive Cleaner:

"Will always do janitor jobs before anything else. Loses Faith when base becomes too dirty."

  • Kleptomaniac:

"May randomly steal unattended resources."

  • Easily Distracted:

"May randomly just stop working and do nothing until told again or after a while of nothing."

  • Dedication:

"Works faster on assigned tasks, works slower on non-assigned ones."

  • Tidy:

"Sleeping bags and tents will never have a chance to break when the follower owns it."

  • Anxious:

"Rituals and group events will give less loyalty. But will gain increase loyalty when interacted in person by the Lamb."

  • Vigilante:

"Will try to apprehend dissenters and put them into prison... or kill them."

  • Fascinated by Death:

"Gains faith when others die or are killed."

"Refuses to use the mating tent and will never generate any sin when using lust based methods."

  • Teetotaler:

"Will never use or drink from the Drinkstation and may fight Befuddled Followers."

  • Lightweight:

"Always becomes Befuddled when drinking and for longer."

  • Alcoholic:

"Drinking gives bonuses, going without for too long brings negatives. Lost or gained by number of drinks."

  • Cuddler:

"Will increase faith slightly if they sleep in the same tent as their spouse or lover."

  • Scullion:

"Will cook and brew drinks faster."

  • Vegan:

"Will refuse to eat any meat or fish dishes but suffers no negatives from veggie dishes."

  • Carnivore:

"Will refuse to eat any veggie dishes but suffers no negatives from meat or fish dishes."

  • Arachnophobia:

"Is terrified of spiders."

  • Green Thumb:

"Plants seeds and fertilizer instantly. Walks faster during Farming jobs."

  • Glutton:

"Will randomly eat left over meals even if not hungry."

  • Weirdo:

"Creeps others out, may cause fights."

  • Nurse:

"Will tend to sick followers on bed rest. Slightly raises Faith per tending if a Disciple."

  • Nudist:

"Will randomly strip nude. Will never dissent if assigned the Naked outfit."

  • Constipated:

"Only needs to poop every 3 days but all poops are... sizable."

  • Blessed Bowels:

"All poops are Rainbow ones."

  • Devoted Digestion:

"All poops are Devoted ones."

  • Glowing Gut:

"All poops are Glowing ones."

  • Misguided:

"Believes the Leader can do no wrong, will never dissent but take out low Faith frustration on other Followers."

  • Holier than Thou:

"Will gain the jerk trait when becoming a Disciple, but actions will only affect non-Disciples."

    "Will re-assure scared Followers and never instigate negative interactions."

    "Is a Jerk to scared Followers and Babies."

  • Weathered Traveler
    "Higher chance of success and returns faster from Missionaries."

  • Easily Lost
    "Lower chance of success and returns slower from Missionaries."

  • Loves Petting
    "Follower can be pet."

  • Aro
    "Follower never becomes Lovers with others, makes Friends faster."

    "Builds much faster than others and can repair broken buildings."

  • Clumsy
    "Randomly trips over decorations or their own feet."

  • Volatile
    "Will dissent easier than others." (Faith 50% or less)

  • Pacifist
    "Refuses to commit violent actions and can not be turned into a demon. Will break up fights and negotiate with dissenters to stay." (@oblique wolf

  • Born Worshipper
    "Generates Devotion 40% faster and at double the amount at the Shríne, Tabernacles and Disciple Shrines. Unable to do any other work."

These are so interesting, especially Weirdo, Nurse, Still Kicking and Well Versed.

If this becomes a thing, however I will have 0 tolerance towards members who are kleptomaniacs, arachnophobics (I have both Webber and shamura (he is one of my spouses) on my cult so unfortunately if they are afraid of both of them), bullies, and weirdos; and they alongside the followers who have the following traits: celibate (with the exception of both aro and ace), hot tempered, and jerks, they are sacrificed/killed soon as they enter my cult.

Yyeeeessssss. This is what I wanna see. The negative traits are already "that trait" to people despite being mere suggestions. Me and my friend really hit it just right.

And I have some trait suggestions as well: polyamorous, hates fights, lovable, engaged (this follower loves doing single tasks and staying with one partner, but will remain faithful towards the cult), fertile (loves mating and has a rare possibility of having twins or triplets (identical or not), and shy, escape goat (no one in the cult even those who are against sacrifice and terrified of death won’t loose faith when this follower dies, is sacrificed or killed), infertile (can mate but will have trouble to make eggs), non-committed (this follower has commitment issues and won’t stay in single task a multiple times for too long, being in love with a single person and has a chance to dissent if faith is bellow 50%), and agoraphobic (this follower will refuse doing missionary quests)

Also: understanding (won’t lose too much faith if you say no when they ask you for quests for them), mute (this follower cannot speak so is unable to give you quests), heavy sleeper (will sleep for bit longer and gets tired easily), and energetic

How a follower with the lovable trait would be like? They are probably are very less likely to get into fights and are more likely to make friends

I absolutely love the Green Thumb idea! Also I think cat followers should randomly gift morsels and bones, you know, as gifts to show they love you.

Ooh, I've got a couple ideas!

  • Abrasive: Makes enemies with other followers a lot more frequently.
  • Vindictive: Gain Faith (10) when Dissenters or Enemies of this Follower Die.
  • Wanderlust: Gain Faith (10) when this Follower is sent on a Missionary.
  • Musically Gifted: Occasionally will pull out an instrument and play a song, increasing the Loyalty of nearby Followers while also slightly slowing their work speed. Gains bonus Loyalty when they are allowed to take part in a drum circle (don't need to be the focus, just have to be on the map).
  • Domineering: Occasionally will begin barking orders at everyone else, increasing the work speed of nearby Followers. However, there is a small chance that this will just cause a nearby Follower to fight them instead.

Also, I had an idea to expand your Clumsy trait: maybe Clumsy followers could also have a small chance to break buildings they interact with or injure themselves while working.

  • Sweet Tooth: Only gains faith + loyalty when consuming sweets and treats (as seen in #1217075340493455491 message)

  • Picky: Only eats the food they truly desire, pukes up food if they eat something they don’t like (Like gain faith for eating their favorite food, loses faith for their hated food)

  • Pacifist: Does not want to be involved in fights (fighting with other followers or in the fight pit), nor in crusades (either as demons or joining in battle)

Discord is great for playing games and chilling with friends, or even building a worldwide community. Customize your own space to talk, play, and hang out.

For the Lightweight/Alcoholic idea (first message) I beg of the devs- If they put it in, if we keep giving drinks to one follower they can go from Lightweight- Normal/no trait- Alcoholic
Like how it works with coward/terrified, I'd have fun with it :3

  • Glutton: this follower may eat anything twice or trice even if they are full or the dish is made of terrible ingredients

And fool followers may do things like: telling jokes to the other followers and the lamb, juggling objects, do magic tricks, act like a clown, and even play a instrument, blow soap bubbles, or use balloons or party poppers

If you like their jokes the follower with this trait will be happy and their loyalty will grow

It would be like you interact with them by hear the follower ‘s joke and they will tell a random one like:

“Leader, why the chicken crossed the crossroad? Obviously they wanted to flee from heretics from the other side “!
