so youāre asking for an entire combat system reworked after we already had a combat update for what reason exactly? i feel like the game has good combat already and there are higher priorities
Two attacks, and around 9 hours of combat gameplay
If you rework the combat you can litteraly make the main attraction of the game more interesting and have more depth by adding onto it
You have a common jab and a heavy attack
It gets boring by the time your first run in silk cradle comes
And youāll have to run through it again
If you add more depth to the main aspect, youāll flesh out one of the most criticized parts of the game
Adding the heavy attacks didnāt help
They donāt deal much more damage unless your taking the dagger on bosses
i mean you donāt need a ton of attacks to make the game interesting, the variety in the game comes from the different weapons feeling different to use and the enemy variety being actually quite good
and curses and relics bring it up to four, which is comparable to hades

And I can say with confidence, by the time I reached purged silk cradle, I was ready for the game to end so I didnāt have to do it anymore
then idk what youāre on about with not enough damage the heavies are busted on a couple weapons
On bosses
And weak enemies
But before this transpires into a argument, why donāt we not argue
the combat system does need a bit of work but i had ~150 hours and two full playthroughs before i got tired of the combat
Iām just saying, a higher skill tree with more to do feels better than what we have
Most of the curses are aim at target, then fire
Not saying the combat we have is boring

i guess adding like a billion new combos feels weird to me
thats like three new buttons i have to remember to press in a specific order in addition to the five iām already thinking about

i agree with literally everything else in this post except for all of the combat rework stuff
puzzle rooms in crusades would definitely be nice for spicing up parts of the crusade
to progress? not really
but having them be optional little rooms for extra items such as food, wood and stone, gold or maybe even tarot cards would be cool
another thing, the whole training room idea
it would be nice for followers to become more successful in missionaries and to have stronger demon forms

I haven't played the game before, so I wouldn't be able to give tips on the combat mechanics, but the puzzles, the training room and even the unlocking moves sound very cool. A skill tree would definitely be a nice addition to the game, the training room would definetly help on your skills during combat and I believe every game needs puzzles, it's that nice break from the story and killing making you use your common sense to progress in the story
How about letting followers to join your crusade? Think of it as the lamb leads a team of followers going through the toughest quests no one has ever been through
Like not only you have demons but having about 3-4 followers fighting enemies in your crusade, though theyāll have the same speed like the Lamb instead of the skeletons you have to summon with your curse, especially having the same HP your follower has during your crusade, but if they die, donāt worry you can resurrect them as soon as your crusade ends, or if they survive, theyāll be exhausted after a long day of fighting, even also obtaining their own shields and weapons the lamb never has, like bow and arrows and bombs for example

Ok, so you guys know about followers joining your crusade?
So instead of the training room being used to practice combos, why not use the training tent as a way to create new weapon that can be only be used once? And maybe the training tent can be used to recruit followers to join your journey to the unknown, like to fight with weapons they can use to protect themselves with and to serve to fight, to which they have to take three days to train to join your crusade, but those who have the sloth trait, they have one extra day to train, but if they have a warrior trait, they don't need to train since they know their strengths and weaknesses, and you can recruit those fellows in a room where they used to be warriors from a different cult but their troops and allies have died all the way, which makes them the last follower standing, no where else to go
It seems the idea i worked on the hardest, is the most disliked
and with those who have the cowardly trait, they either run away from enemies or hit enemies with a weak hit
Although halp does have a point with puzzles being added into cusades, which they can be solved through riddles within the next room or so to find new follower forms, gain new tarot cards and relics, etc.
Though, they can be used a another way to get into lore tablet rooms
I think it would just mix up the crusade rooms to change it up

But the slower weapons are a bore, and the faster ones can take a while to kill targets if you play it carefully. Unless you bombrush and ignore avoiding attacks

Because the combat we have is very complained about, not from fans but from gamers who play a wide variety of games

You can start out with a basic sword jab attack, but then you switch between weapon to weapon using them in creative ways

Although the slamming part could be useful since if the lamb could use their curses alongside diving into the zone which would kill all enemies in many ways like inchor could cover up the entire room or explode all enemies

Just like how most bosses land which they'll leave poison or fireballs
It would make the lamb faster and deal more damnadge but you have to keep attacking to keep the meter from draining to 0

But it has a higher cap
And projectiles use less
So you can still fill it up and use projectiles
And maybe if yoou fill it up, not only the rage mode could be obtained but it won't drain any fervour at all

You can recruit them in the follower station, where you can also send them out to get stuff
