Mac and Windows both take CotL from Steam, so you can try backing up your save data onto your steam cloud on Mac, before downloading them on Windows
or find the savefile location on mac and windows and move them manually if steam doesnt work
Mac: $HOME/Library/Application Support/Massive Monster/Cult Of The Lamb/saves/
Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Massive Monster\Cult Of The Lamb\saves\
Sadly this has been a bug since launch but there doesn’t seem to have been any progress on a fix. Only way to get your save working is to follow the steps above.
I was hoping the update would fix this, but this is still an issue. Mac save isn't synced, so when I open the game on steam deck the save doesn't show up.
So I can't switch between the two platforms and play the same game.
Like i said, you have to backup your saved data onto your steam cloud on one device, before you can download that from your steam cloud on the other device
I could very well be wrong about this but, Mac + Windows OS can't share game save data, if I'm not mistaken..?
Mac and Windows both pull CotL from steam, so they can use the Steam Cloud to shove data to each other
