sorrell exists solely in one of my AUs titled “a vessels reunion”
To put it quickly basically
Narinder noticed the lamb was getting lonely by themself, and most importantly, not doing their job because of it so they give the red crown the liberty to create a little companion for them.
Aka the goat we see in game.
(Yknow how the crown can turn into a weapon? Basically that but furry edition/j )

Blah blah blah, lambs STILL NOT HAPPY so the RC is like
“Wtf do I do now”
(For context the red crowns kinda…sentient in this?) Now in the original “agreement” between the red crown and narinder is they are to make a companion at any cost to make sure they do their work. ANY. COST.
And so they do exactly that.

BACK TI THE LAMBS POV and a ginormous plague has struck the cult grounds, killing most of their followers and their most devoted desciple. Nautraully they go to revive them but
In a stroke of probably the stupidest decision ever they decide that their close enough to godhood that they could perform the revival by themselves, without help from their followers
Which yknow went about as well as you would expect

They perform the ritual and something goes horribly wrong. Instead of reviving their follower the crown goes haywire and reserects narinders first vessel. Sorrell.

✨ANGSTY BACKSTORY TIME✨
Sorrell was sacrificed by her own mother to serve narinder after death after constant pressure from the one who waits to do so. long, long, long story short during her vessalhood she gets falsely accused of negligence and heresay which is a whole different story
And gets sent to purgatory

Blah blah blah their both forced to work together as sorrell learns what happened in the years they were dead and makes it ABUNDANTLY clear they want absolutely nothing to do with helping the god of death while the lamb learns to accept help from others and how to work as a team.
they also learn to stop this edgy teen from starting a revelution against the god in the cult grounds

Sorrell had only been 17 when she died, losing her life to tuberculosis. She had been brought to the former god of death to be judged and yet…something was different. He didn’t grant her passage into the afterlife. Instead he granted her something precious. He had offered this mortal spider the chance for her life again in exchange for becoming his vessel that he desperately needed. Hesitantly, she accepted. Who was she to deny a god after all?

Blah blah boring stuff about how he uses her to “sPreAd tHe WoRd” and kill countless nonbelievers and how he makes her start a cult and that kinda stuff

Well, whatever she did be it work on the Cult or slaughter heretics he was never truly happy with what she did. He grew angrier by the days, ridiculing her for never producing satisfactory results despite her efforts. Eventually he goes insane and accuses her of being a traitor to him and for INTENTIONALLY SCREWING UP EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDNT MEAN TO AND JUST. KILLS HER. 😭

Why had he done this? Because she looked and acted so similar to his eldest sibling, shamura it had driven him a little 🤪 with guilt and he just took it out on Sorrell to cope

Homegirls (rightfully) like WTF BRO As she is finally sent to the Afterlife…✨PURGATORY ✨

If you don’t know what that means it’s basically just hell.

As time went on he accumulated more and more vessels. Ones that were quickly tossed aside like toys much like her. In Sorrell’s fury, during her “stay” in hell she accumulated a small resistance group of former vessels. One that drew or even carved a crossed out Eye on their foreheads to represent narinders third eye and their hatred towards him.

… because they were in hell they couldn’t really do anything to convince people NOT to worship Nari but that didn’t last long. Eventually, narinder had a new vessel. One that had admittedly lasted longer then the others had under narinders reign.

This vessel had been innocently practicing a revival ritual when they had accidentally revived sorrell and many other of the previous vessels with such a small ritual.🤭
