In OWHA, he's deeply unnerved by Falkusa for reasons he can't quite place... and Kallamar's anxiety and fear comes out as violence and cruelty.
(the underlying reason is that Falkusa is an adelie penguin, which are known for eating many things, including squid, and being completely n utterly fearless animals)

• The Bishops are all gods of things that are aspects of life. All of them are unfathomably old, though there are four who are older, Haro and the weapon/tarot/relic siblings. (They're Primordials, it's fine)

• They used to be part of a much, much larger pantheon that was more than just them. The five siblings we know now were the youngest even among them, but alas. They are now largely all that is left in a land untouched by the misfortune that befell the rest of the pantheon.

• Leshy is the god of Chaos, Conquest, and the Wild. Heket is the god of Famine, Fertility, and the Harvest. Kallamar is the god of Pestilence, Health, Sea, and Sky. Shamura is the god of War, Knowledge, Survival, and Order. Narinder was the god of Death, Time, and the Afterlife.

• The Bishops were once of younger forms, and they grew very slowly. Shamura was largely adult in form when Kallamar came along, though Kallamar and Narinder came shortly after one another. Heket came after Narinder was an adult, and Leshy came along much much later.

• Before the fall of Narinder, they were all rather close with each other! They frequently blended their followings together, they traded resources frequently, and they largely worked in tandem.

• After the fall of Narinder, they started separating themselves more distinctly. Narinder had nearly destroyed them by utilizing how unified their followers had become and pulling them towards himself so that he could wage the Seven Days of Destruction. In this world, belief is power unfathomable. When Shamura managed to seal Narinder in purgatory, they started becoming more independent from one another so that what he did could never happen again, and they tend to help each other even out the numbers of followers so that nobody is more powerful than the other.

yeah in this world, although Shamura was certainly probably intrigued by Ferox, they did not develop feelings very quickly at all! And visa versa. That is some slowburn shit right there.

One of the best ways to improve at anatomy at least is tracing irl photos of people and animals and figuring out their shapes before you try and freehand them! And when it comes to full artworks like the one you replied to: Contrast matters so much more than detail

I also always find that it's good to start off practicing on what you love!! If you love a particular animal, you can draw that animal! Then when you're ready, you can branch out into other things and even give yourself a challenge!

In the OWHA AU, I imagine things in Shamura’s realm are… interesting when it comes to conflicts

Shamura’s domain is War, but as I’ve said once before, it refers both to battlefield war, and the war of survival. The fight to stay alive.

When conflicts that cannot be put to rest by diplomacy arise in the Silk Cradle, law mandates that it be settled through ritualized combat.
However, rarely does this ritualized combat end in death, for most situations do not call for death. Killing one of your own over a disagreement, therefore risking your own safety, is not conducive to survival.

It is only over matters of deciding livelihood within the Silk Cradle that Shamura ever step in and watch.

It should also be mentioned that some have actually challenged Shamura themselves to ritualistic combat, and only once did it end in the death of the challenger
The rest ended up being some of Shamura’s closest generals after the fact

ALRIGHT, taking the base sketch first. Your base anatomy is actually pretty decent, aside from some small things I lined out, the problem largely is the clothing.
The og image, it's difficult to believe there's any solid form under that clothing. The crease and the draping helps with emphasizing that there's a body beneath it!

next image i'll touch on colors/shading

For colors/shading, there's a problem with muddied shading that I'm seeing.

For steps I went for

• Shifted the arm and added the shawl to reflect that base sketch I showed you
• Shifted the lighting to be much warmer (with an overlay layer)
• Lessened the contrast on the Lamb's face to give a much softer impression, and used the brighter lighting to make it the focal point
  • (I used a softlight layer on clipstudio to lighten the parts that i didn't draw over)
• Increased the level of contrast on the shawl between what's facing the light and what's further from the light

(this is SO messy and i apologize but it gets the point across)
