I don't think they're literal siblings. It's a cult, terms like "brother", "sister", and "sibling" moreso refer to the bond of the cult than a literal blood relationship. Another example being the "Mage Sisters" from Kirby Star Allies. They came from very different places and bonded together through the cult.

The Dark Brotherhood from Elder Scrolls would be yet another example.

Even if the Bishops aren't blood-related, they all still have a sibling-type relationship and should have the ability to be "lovers" with each other removed.

That said, I think the issue with the Bishops and Baal and Aym is that they're still very much using the basic Follower programming right now (Baal and Aym even moreso, arguably, due to how you get them), so hopefully a future update will make them all more unique and thus fix this problem.

And that right there exposes the problem actually. They kinda handled the special followers a bit lazily, making them act just like every other follower in the game instead of giving them specific behaviors and traits.

i just thought this was a place for discussion and not getting squeamish over incest in a game where you actively sacrifice people and feed them shit. i don't see how incest is in any way worse than brainwashing, live sacrifices, genocide, murder, coprophagia, the desecration of sacred sites, extortion that is already in the game, and considering that it's a part of many religions, i don't see why it would need to be removed, with the exception of some people being uncomfortable with it (but somehow also comfortable with any of the above)

also you're not very good at your job as a moderator. you could have just said "this isn't a place to argue against the suggestions, make your own thread" or, even better, explained how this was insensitive, considering that i was under the impression this is a place to discuss suggested changes for the game. if it isn't a place to discuss suggested changes for the game, why couldn't you have politely told me that? if it is, then how was what i said insensitive? either way, you should have clarified your point.

Your message wasn't being removed to 'make things up', but because it made other people uncomfortable and even with that known you kept justifying such thing.

Just because this thing was considered normal in the past, appeared in mythology and was mentioned in religion, it doesn't mean it's right.

Also, moderators are supposed to help the users, and since your message and your justifications were making others uncomfortable, Jir had to remove your message and invite you to change topic and explained why is wrong to talk about these things in this place.

Just wanted to leave a message here saying I have looked over the situation. No one is in trouble of course, but I just wanted to say that while we appreciate the suggestion, this topic in particular is one we are trying to avoid in the server. It goes outside of the intended scope of the game and server, hence why it was patched.

I really think Satan put it best when they said that this is after all a PG13 server, and we do our best to make sure everyone is comfortable. At the end of the day this game does include a lot of horrible things like you mentioned, such as sacrifice, but many feel that this particular topic takes it a bit too far

Unfortunately, I don't think so. Relationship data seems to be maintained no matter what happens (they'll even still retain relationship data for Followers that have otherwise been completely wiped, like ones that have been sacrificed to the doors).

... Having the ability to break up Followers might be a good suggestion. 🤔
