#Cult of The Lamb: The Fallen Faith (an AU Discusion thread)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Heres the additional ones
@flat willow
OOO
Omg I really like these
OOO, so is the rabbit your favorite one? :0
Yes
The others are actually up for adoption
Not here though
I'm only giving them to friends on my server
Which isn't an open server so
I think the cow one is probably my personal favorite, I love cows lolol
@royal olive
ah yes, Erasure, if yall want i can dump info of the bishop who owns said crown
i think yall would find her entertaining, as she is commonly referred to as "The Mother of the Eternal" or just "The Eternal Mother" despite her theme of erasure by what her crown suggests
Go ahead
curious on f the others wanna hear actively or not
ah
I like those crowns!
The events of the base game are pretty much the same (post game stuff is where the story really changes)
But the few changes in base game story are as follows
Right before you fight each bishop you first must fight their vessel
Then you may fight the bishop after defeating the vessel
You also do not kill the bishops in this au but rather you beat them up and take their crown (each Crown having a specific ability from the 4 you unlock with the hearts of heretics)
After you defeat the oww is when the story changes
With the 4 Bishops of the Old Faith and TOWW weakened 4 new Bishops swoop in to take control
i made my own cult leader
It is then that the 5 vessels put aside their differences to defeat these horrible bishops who wish devastation on the world
ok
Respectfully, this thread is for my au and discussion about it
oh sorry
i see your drawings so started drawing this
The Lamb returns the crowns to the other vessels and they band together to take the bishops down
But first they had to deal with the new bishops' vessels
Upon defeating the vessels they snap out of their brainwashing and join your side, once the respective bishop is defeated the vessel takes the crown
In the end the vessels decide to rule the land together, ensuring peace and safety for everyone
There is one more part of the story however it is not mine to tell
But rather it is @royal olive's
What do you all think?
I also have a few small fun facts about the different characters (mostly The Rabbit)
Thx i actually have abilities i came up with for them, like how they affect your cult
Fear causes a follower to be scared into leaving the cult (this is preventable as the follower will only leave a day after you come back from a crusade)
Affair causes a follower to descent
Poverty takes 50% of your coins
And Fatigue makes followers tired
I also made an ability for TOWW and Leshy
TOWW can make a follower elderly
And Leshy makes a follower "angry"
"Angry" followers break structures causing them to need to be repaired
Yeah, I like that story, I can see it being the story for online multiplayer or something lol
Eventually if angry for too long a follower will descent
Yes!
Lmao
I love that idea
And the crown of erasure... Well
Makes a follower perma die
Yeah especially with the addition of new bishops. Sounds like a no-brainer for new content
(you do get to choose which follower perma dies)
The new bishops' have a polar opposite gimmick
ooo
So like for example
One of the new bishops' injuries is that they lost their eyelids
So they can't close their eyes
brutal
Representing the opposite of seeing no evil
They are incapable of not seeing evil
And Erasure... Well ill let @royal olive explain that once they are on
So yeah
The new bishops' themes are a theme of doing, seeing, hearing, speaking, and thinking evil
Or maybe perhaps we could say
Doing no good
I really like the parallels
Yes
In fact most of the vessels actually parallel their crown
Rabbits are chaotic because they multiply a chaotic amount (thats probably pushing it im sorry)
This is a stretch but The deer represent famine bcs of the Yellowstone Wolf incident
The cow represents pestilence bcs theres a couple diseases that are named after cows
The Cod represent poverty because its sort of symbolic of poverty cuz if you were stranded on an island you'd likely fish to survive
And the chicken represents fear because we tease people who are scared of something by calling them chicken
I never realized it was so deep, you did a really good job with this
I also limited the vessels to being animals humans commonly hunt and eat
Heck even the lamb from the base game represents the crown it has (the crown of death)
Yeah plus humans don't seem to exist in the main universe
Because of the phrase "Lamb to the slaughter"
And lambs are often used in sacrifice
Yeah, lambs being sacrificial animals (among others like cows)
Ech-
Hi DJ
Would you like to describe Erasure's part in the story
We have someone who's really interested in the au
Ooh! Yes I'd be glad to, the bishop of Erasure kind of takes place of Death, or well, Narinder, a thing she'll do to punish those who don't follow peace is have her underlings take away a cultist, basically making them vanish for good...issue is she can't do that very well as she takes well, place of being Narinder, but what she did is take most senses from the others except for one, and she still sort or follows that
Honestly most of the parallels were incidental, i completely didn't intend them
I love when stuff works out like that
But the bishop of Erasure is a crow, and she is called "The Eternal Mother"
Despite her whole theme or the end, she's actually very sweet, and I have it planned once she finds her new seer, she brings them to basically beg for freedom and mercy
Interesting
The whole most senses being taken is meant to be similar to the original bishops, where there is "see no evil" "hear no evil" "speak no evil" and "do no evil", but in a way they're somewhat opposites, most senses damaged except for a major if their senses aren't completely taken away
Malice, the bishop of Erasure begging for freedom and mercy is kind of a "do evil" in contrast to Narinder...not to mention she basically crippled four entities she saw as her own children
She'll rattle and move in her chains as much as she can despite basically being crucified by the chains from how I see it, but the vessels are fully required to be faught to free her, as they have chains that bind her aswell
I might actually try to draw a scene of her chained up at some point to show what it would look like, and there is little concept for her seer/vessel
And similar to Narinder, she has figures at her sides, four instead of two, or at the least there will be a third
I'd actually love to see a comic series or something of these events
Actually that is genius-
If i actually had the motivation to do that i probably would
I feel that
Oh yeah scary fact about Malice, she is HUGE, and there is a cute fun fact aswell
Thats fatigue
Can i say the one cute fact?
Fatigue is constantly tired bcs he can't sleep due to lack of eyelids
Sure
While not exactly canon there is a concept of Malice being married to Shamura-
Mainly the marriage concept thing existing between me and another friend who I don't think is in the server lmfao
There's some things we are still workshopping
Like mainly the appearance and name of the 4 new Bishops
Yeah
Death and erasure being married does sound poetic
||one idea i thought of is Fatigue being Haro due to an unused animation Haro has||
No Shamura is War, aren't they-?
Yeah
Cuz war causes a lot of death
What we do know for sure is that Fear is a snake
And affair is a Lion
Wait
Actually
Hmmm
Maybe
We should swap them
Make the vomit green crown as a joke
Also there is a concept of Malice being wounded aswell because of Narinder, that being ironically her wings are damaged, the wings having their bones ripped out, so supposedly she cannot fly
She infact still can fly, and it's terrifying
Oooh i have so many ideas
Maybe we need to reconsider the new bishops' animal types
Not a bad idea, first drafts often aren't the best
Cyz i kinda want to make The Fox and Haro a new bishop
Yeah
The Fox being either fear or affair cuz foxes are often used as a symbol of deceit and danger
It would make sense for Haro, but I won't talk about why as it's datamining
I kinda feel like the birds aren't meant to really interfere with the godly affairs short of giving advice...and weapons
Data mining talk ain't allowed
That was my exact thoughts
But Malice does treat everyone with kindness, which is surprising for a towering bird like herself, cause she looks like she'd happily eat the other bishops, but nope, treats eight of them like her kids and Shamura and her are married lmfao-
Actually perhaps
Odd for Malice to be nice now that I think about it
Instead of it being the fox it could be a relative of the fox
It's actually meant to be a poetic play on how those who accept the end aren't actually super hostile nor mean
Its not if you take into consideration her beliefs
Exactly
No I mean them being the representative of malice
@lament ginkgo bro i say hi to you
Shes all about letting people live there life to the fullest and not being afraid of death
Thats her name not crown type
Hi
She is only known as Malice as ironically that's her last name, her first name is not to be revealed, but her representation is End or well, Erasure
how are you bro
Gud
well me too
i thinking to draw
I think I want to go with Lion Fox and Snake as 3 of the 4 Bishops
We can figure out which one is which later
Yeah that would actually work, maybe the 4th being something subterranean, like a mole?
Snake bishop fight would be cool, it could strike from across the stage
Yeah I was thinking of that for the snake one
Midas as Poverty would be so Ironic!!
YES
Honestly thinking of the snake being a rattlesnake so the rattle would be an audio que type of thing or visual que- and yeah that'd be cool!
We are so doing that
Absolutely
As well as the Fox who i decided will be Affair
Heheheheh
Also I can explain why Malice is a crow
We need to give The Fox a name besides The Fox
Should I explain why she is a crow-?
Apatolos
Ooh that's a funky name for the fox
A fusion of Apate god of deception and Dolos god of trickery
Nice
The snake can be Asclepius
If we ever have the characters refer to Malice by full name at some point I think it'd be a good idea to actually think of it, or keep her complete mystery of not having a first name lol
And it will be fear
Yeah
That means the Lion is Fatigue
And knowing her bonds with the characters, the only one who would fully refer to her by her actual name would have been Shamura
Also that's ironic how the Lion is fatigue, when lions typically represent strength
...anyways imma actually explain why Malice is a crow-
Go ahead
Crows can be seen as a mysterious sign of death sometimes, aswell as freedom actually in some religions, so before her imprisonment she would basically represent the freedom the end brings, freedom from trauma, freedom from pain
I love that idea
We have to figure out the lions name but first
Who wants to hear some small fun facts about the vessels
There is also still the fact we have yet to figure out the chosen vessel of Malice...actually what if it was a dove-?
Yes!
Absolutely
It would make sense for malice to break the theme the vessels had of being commonly hunted and eaten animals
Could be because it's a major sign of her inevitable freedom, and doves are also a sign of peace usually
Anyways small fun facts
The vessels each have nicknames (of which i will most likely refer to them by here on out)
The Rabbit's is Charcoal
The Deer's is Venison
The Cow's is Buttercup
And the Pig is Hamlet
The other bishops don't have nicknames yet
The Dove might be called "Hero" simply, as it's both a title they own and its still technically a name too
Charcoal often bows or kneels as a sign of respect towards someone (often Leshy)
Venison is mute, having sacrificed their vocal chords to prove their worthiness of the Crown of Famine
Buttercup has poor hearing, only able to hear loud noises, this is also a result of a test of worthiness
ok
Buttercup I believe could be hard of hearing in similar case of Kallamar- okay so i was right lol, with Hamlet being easy to distract maybe to reference something not right with his brain
Dear deer friend
Hamlet is a bit mentally unstable, having given up some of their sanity for proof of worthiness
Also Nice art
Actually i like that better
bro
i sayed something to you
Show me in dms
Hero might not have anything wrong, if anything he could have something like heightened reflexes, as proof of them just already being worthy of being a seer by their symbolism of kindness and maybe even was killed from a heroic act but Narinder sent them over to Malice
I think I'll combine those ideas
ok
Hamlet gave up some of their sanity and attention span
i just send you something in dms
for you
Really sanity would hinder attention span anyways-
But do you like the idea of Hero actually not having anything wrong, and infact has something improved?
Bad memory, a little dumb, short attention span, a little crazy
Yes
It could also be a weird thing where it feels like a bit of a defect aswell, referencing what was wrong with Malice, but it didn't hinder her at all, likely just slight numbness in the wings
And meanwhile the lamb literally sacrificed their soul
Which actually would make it easier to fight cause the wings wouldn't actually be a weak point anymore
The Lamb has no set morals until later in the story
As their power slowly helps them reclaim their soul from TOWW
The Lamb has multiple nicknames in my au btw
I do like the whole idea of the Dove and them being the whole leader of this worldly reclaim I suppose?
Lambchop, Lampert, Lamby, ect
Like it just feels really oddly cool, thought that everyone also has different fighting styles
Yes
Lampert prefers swords
Charcoal prefers axes
Venison prefers daggers
Buttercup prefers gauntlets
And Hamlet prefers hammers
I actually thought of a thing of Hero having to get through a series of tests aswell, might be that he also prefers polearms, like spears and glaives
Like the test actually either conducted by Narinder or Malice herself
The Chicken prefers the dual sickles
The Cod prefers the trident
The Bison prefers the Halberd
And The Moose prefers the Whip
Spear for The Dove
It might be the four in the Old Faith call her "Mother Malice"
While Shamura just refers to her as Malice or maybe something more closely referencing the fact they are married lmfao-
Ye
What do you think about all this
Oh and heres the edits for the main 4
A lot to catch up on rn but from what I read, sounds cool. I like Malice being a dove instead
No that's her seer- not herself-
She herself is still a crow, but the vessel/seer is a dove
Introducing the dove
Cult of The Lamb: The Fallen Faith (an AU Discusion thread)
Wow
Venison is a shy and nervous guy
He also has a sensitive neck so he wears a scarf instead of a collar
Buttercup is a sweet and caring lady
Hamlet is a goofy clutz who will absolutely destroy you if you piss him off kinda like a slasher in a horror movie where the slasher is actually quite clumsy
The vessels that were brainwashed actually have 2 personalities one while normal and one while brainwashed
Cody The Chicken Is normally a very arrogantly brave dude but under the bishops' control is a terrified nervous wreck
Christopher The Cod under the crown's control is a snobby rich bastard who in his battle insults your weapon & curse and gives you another of your choosing (only based on weapon type like axe or curse type like blast) thats a higher level. Normally though he's actually a quite generous guy
Marcus the Moose is normally a very loyal person and once entering the biome under affair's control he's actually not brainwashed at first and joins your team. But midway through the dungeon Markus takes a blow from the bishop aimed at the player causing him to become brainwashed and used as the vessel of Affair, he then betrays the team
And finally Brutus the Bison
Brutus is normally very energetic, like if you gave an adhd kid candy and let it run rampant, but under the bishops' control he's so fatigued he can barely stay awake in his boss battle, falling asleep on occasion during it leaving openings for attack
I had an idea of a cotl oc but it happened to be a fusion of two of Charcoal's oc's on accident.
I had no clue these oc's existed until no so sorry bout that. here he is btw.
He represents feel no evil, emotion.
I also have a thread about him if you wanna see more, its called "the sixth crown."
Oh yeah, should I show the sketches of all the Seers in my style here?
@lament ginkgo what do you think, should I tease some of the more complex designs?
Ye
It's only fitting that charcoals the one that we tease
And hero too
that is fair
i think i could tease them in one image- lemme check though before i even tyr
try*
yep, these two gonna look awesome
Im excited for when we can share the full thing
May "the hero" save her sorry soul.
tough to see but this is a lore drawing for how the scene with Hero meeting Malice would look
i was given permission to show it of course
Charcoal has a little snail critter companion
Also charcoal may or may not have feelings for Leshy (this is not 100% canon as of rn)
However the Lamb and Narinder are def a couple
Interestingly enough, with the info I'd been given on the AU I actually guessed that's what that scene was
And I love how the crowns alter the personalities of the wearers when being controlled by the bishops
Yeah
I need to get Charcoal's personality down
Id say off duty he's a cuddly softy but on duty he's probably very serious and tough
Well, maybe a bit of a trickster too since green crown
Cuz that's kinda how I've been portraying hin
Absolutely
He loves Chaos
makes the whole camp eat poop one day
As long as it is controlled Chaos
Like it doesn't go too far
That's why he's actively against the new bishops' order of chaos and suffering
Because it crosses the line of what he considers as fun Chaos
.
@severe storm oh yeah, Malice isn't actually evil btw-
Oki
just like
an interaction
between 2 bearers
one is against erasure
Like
a natural hate for it
sure she sounds evil, but her betrayal was for the war that the Great Despair was waging
but that is reasonable
Malice actually hates what she has to do to save the world
👍
Wait so does Sentient (The Crown Bearer) just have a natural hate for Erasure
I am confused
I am more confused then my gramps with memory loss
Malice still mourns the wounds she gave the others of the Great Despair actually, so it makes her unabl to see really well
I had an idea
The Bishop of Life
Where there is death, there is life
Where there is destruction, there is creation
Do any of your crowns allow them to come back to life @lament ginkgo?
like when they’re martyred
Because I figured that’s a red crown only thing
since the whole “god of death” thing
actually Malice does a somewhat similar thing, if you are a patron to the chaos and destruction she was trying to end, she will force you to sacrifice a follower, that cannot be revived via normal means, but she allows you to take them back if you're actually promoting peace
might have it be you can take other followers from within the garden if you haven't sacrificed anyone to her for a punishment technically, and basically she offers the new follower as a reward of the promotion of peace
is that going to me or someone else?
its a response to your question, im glad to be able to be on standby on occasion for questions lol
Oh i was asking because I have no idea what this means
Im having trouble understanding is all
Malice's crown allows her to bring people back from permadeath pretty much
oH-
it might be a thing that is an ability for the Lamb, like if a bearer dies, the Lamb has a "blessing" to revive the others
but for game reasons if we make it a mod, after the players leave the crusade the others are revived at the grounds or i might just describe it as base
this specifically
i understand if the idea isn’t fully there yet
you dont gotta answer
i was just askin
for game logic, its like a thing where the crusade is treated as a dungeon, thus players if one dies, if one cannot revive them, they have to wait for them to return to the cult for an automatic revive
so its like reviving teammates in a fps when downed?
yeah pretty much
ok i get it now
makes sense
wait
actually nvm
i wont bother u with any more abstract questions
thx 4 the help
pfft, its alright, and the stuff i say might not be final even, but they are good ideas that i might talk to charcoal about for further written imformation
well my last question is, how do they logically come back with the auto revive?
like who does that for them?
might be Narinder himself reviving them once the remaining return to keep them all grouped together
so this isn’t post cotl?
Because narinder wouldn’t be tied to them at all
he prob wouldn’t care
im sorry
there are actually several reasons he'd be helping, but i don't want to sound rude..
one is being well, Malice, he sees her as a motherly figure, so he's helping to save her
this is how debates/discussions are
?
I need to read into this more
ive gotta be missing something
whos malice?
Malice is the bishop of Erasure
and she is locked away in the time that Fallen Faith takes place
basically this is like a case of History repeating itself, one Bishop from an ancient group betraying their other four, but for Malice, there is good reason, which is the others of the Great Despair as her group is called, they were trying to tear everything apart to put the remains together in a way only they rule and make everything suffer
Idk how to make a crown 😅
We should put the areas here
yeah that is a good idea
Okay
Im not feeling lazy anymore so
Imma talk about the new Dungeons
Fear rules over a desert known as Dreadwaste
Dreadwaste is home to Chilli Pepper crops and Cactus plants (Chilli being the biome crop and Cactus being the special material which is also plantable)
The grass is replaced by dead bushes which drop a new material for this au which are sticks, they can be refined into lumber
Poverty rules over a Beach known as Goldshore
Goldshore is home to Coconut trees and Pretty Sea Shells
The rocks are replaced with solid gold that drops gold nuggets when destroyed
Affair rules over a snowy tundra known as Frostwake
Frostwake is home to Lettuce crops and Permafrost Ice
Remains there will also drop follower meat
And before we get to the next area I must explain a few new materials
Stone Pebbles occasionally drop from rocks alone with the regular stone, the pebbles can be refined to make Stone
And alongside gold theirs 2 more metals that are used as currency and materials
Silver and Bronze
They work exactly the same as gold but would be used for different things
Now that that's out of the way
Our final area is ruled by Fatigue, it is a cave known as Quiet Cavern
Quiet Cavern is home to Wheat and Obsidian
All rocks in Quiet cavern are embedded with one of the three types of metals and will drop Stone Pebbles and the Nuggets of their respective metal
In my au i wanted to make it so that each of the materials used in the refinery had 3 stages to refining
This is the refinement table
(To clarify x5 only refers to the amount you get from refining the first stage into second, ignore x5 for refining second into third)
And I am happy to announce i have the first follower for all of the vessels designed, I'm just waiting for my co-writer to approve of the designs before I post them
Boom
Might actually give the first cultist for Erasure the name Eileen, and she is technically described as an elder but not an actual elder lol
Charcoal's is named Julian
I have updated the crown of poverty
I decided it was too similar to the crown of fear
So
Fear was a little too goofy so i redesigned that as well
What about a crown for time? Imma work on that
Just wanna ask if it could fit
don't wanna undermine the lore already built
@lament ginkgo how's it sound?
eh
this
The Bishop of Time, how does it sound @lament ginkgo?
i dont think it would fit
Updated Erasure
I think a way it could fit is that everything, death, erasure, famine, plague, war, happens with the passage of time
Colors not attributed to one of my crowns part 1
Colors not attributed to one of my crowns part 2
Midas head concept
Asclephobos, Bishop of Fear
Midas, Bishop of Poverty
Apatolos (Fox), Bishop of Affair
Dionypheus, Bishop of Fatigue
Dionypheus head concept
Uhhh to keep the thread open have the new charcoal design courtesy of Catfish
Nice
Heres a fun mini game
Guess the crown silhouettes without any reference
Do not look at any posts above
Imma use a compass to say which I is which
Where should I reply to this
In here?
I don’t wanna spoil the fun
Dms
bro this can literally be a DLC or a Cult of the lamb alternate history game easily

pfft
Yes
Crowns HQ
Inverse Crowns (concept)
The concept behind inverse crowns
Is that they represent the exact opposite thing
And are kind of like an ultimate power version
very cool work, my boy
When dying in my au people will leak a black tar from their eyes and mouth
Basically their bodies get filled with black tar during the process of dying
This black tar is vomited out if the person is revived
Basically an explanation for the revival animation in game
Looks a bit weird
Ik
we usually try to go for more realistic things for reference images on things so yeah, forward facing foxes look funny either way
Backstory time
The Rabbit was the runt of his litter, his family didn't really treat him well because of it... And one day he ran away from home
He ran deep into Darkwood
For weeks he had to survive cold and alone until one rainy day Leshy found him
Leshy took him in, gave him clothes, and gave him a gift... A gift that he would forever hold dear
cool
More crowns may be coming to the au
With @royal olive's approval i shall start adding the crowns ive made to the thread
Poverty updated
Behold, Batch 3 of Bishop (or their crowns at least); The Bishops of The Grand Authority!
The crowns in order are:
Misfortune, Despair, Incalescence, Pollution, and Isolation
And alongside Batch 3 we have Batch 4; The Bishops of The Holy Compassion!
The grand authority you say?
The crowns in order are:
Apathy, Naivety, Drought, Judgement, and Insanity
Oh that's actually cool how we're basically creating whole pantheons-
like greek mythology or the norse mythology
The Bishops of The Great Despair are the oldest
Fun fact The Bishops of The Old Faith are ironically the youngest bishop group
Second Oldest is The Holy Compassion and Second Youngest is The Grand Authority
Actually it would make sense the Great Despair is the oldest especially if they have Malice
yeah
Now for some LORE on the crowns
Malice IS the oldest of every bishop ironically, as she basically more just represents the lack of something
Yay!
The Grand Authority is from a far off land where the Bishops all ruled with an iron fist, often mistreating their subjects
makes sense
But the 5th bishop, Isolation, didn't approve of their siblings cruelty and went rouge
Actually would this mean Erasure gets a name change for the fact that Malice represents nothingness pretty much-?
me likey that
Unlike most rouge bishops however Isolation didn't become bound in purgatory
i would guess erasure is the process of going to nothingess
But rather Isolated themselves in hiding, planning how to usurp their siblings
the crown of isolation isolated themselves, how unexpected
I mean yeah, so it does still fit, but the odd thing is the fact that she is basically the first of them ALL
hm
As she is "the eternal mother" for a reason
They reach out to the vessels from batch 1 and 2 for help, and they happily agreed to help as they wanted to bring peace to the world as well
i'm not really up on the whole lore, i only know parts of it. So imma write that down
Alright
Now for the lore of batch 4
But yeah, Malice is the first of the bishops, maybe for the lore of the first she was the one who crafted the crowns?
Long ago in a land relatively close to what is now known as The Land of The Old Faith there were 5 bishops
These 5 bishops were very caring and kind to their subjects
Until one day when the 5th inherited their crown...
That day they became the Bishop of Insanity, They began to do unspeakable acts of violence, the other 4 had no choice but to lock Insanity away
For eons Insanity sat bound their bloodlust growing...
Bro how many Crowns this au haves? It's like undertale XD
But good au xd
One day Insanity had the idea to send their crown off to find a vessel, this vessel was a follower of the group of vessels that had been rising to power and godhood
it has about two pantheons of crowns
It was then that the vessel had warned our heroes of bishops of a nearby land who had "cruelly and unfairly locked their own sibling away eons ago"
undertale aus are still popular?
Y e s
wow
Our heroes ventured to this land believing that they were setting out to fight a bunch of cruel and evil gods, only to realize once it was too late they'd been duped
And thats the basics of the story
4
4?
Each batch is a separate pantheon
Specifically how basically they all became bishops
The Grant Despair considers each other as a found family
So they are not related by blood, but do prefer to see each other as family
Malice being the closest thing the other 4 have to a mother
One day Malice found the 20 crowns in an Ancient Palace
She took the crowns and hid them away for 3 groups of 5 worthy siblings to find, she took 5 for herself and her family as she had felt them calling to her
She had claimed the crown of Erasure and crowned her family as well
I was more thinking less of the claimed crown being she chose it, but it chose her.
So Erasure itself picked her as it's bishop pretty much
Which possibly hints to all the crowns being sentient if this is fully how it went down
That's pretty much how it works for the crowns but ye
Oh right- awa
The crowns aren't chosen, they choose the wearer
They're canonically sentient so ye
Like they blink and emote in game
Could be the first sign of them being sentient but no one of that time knew
Yeah
But yeah, Malice is also the only bishop with a full name as I remembered-
Also with new bishops comes new vessels/crown bearers and with new vessels/crown bearers comes their preferred weapon
For Malice, technically her and Hero have different weapons, Malice herself has a glaive, while Hero has a spear
One might be called "the dark crown" to contrast with the fact that Malice's crown is referred to as the pale crown
Rn the only ones i have color names for are Misfortune, Despair, Pollution, Isolation, Drought, Judgement, and Insanity
Malice's crown is also referred to as the white crown
That sounds weird especially for it being the first-?
Isolation could be both the dark crown and the black crown
The white crown might be a lesser known nickname for Erasure, as the pale crown sounds much more imposing
Thus the others of the great despair could use this to manipulate their own followers into thinking Malice is a bad person, by strictly referring to her crown as the pale crown
If the white crown thing sounding weird is because of race stuff
I understand but like
The crowns don't have anything to do with race so no one should draw any connections to it
hmmmmm
But yeah
It just generally sounds goofy in a strange way
I can see how the pale crown is more ominous
Like calling the crown the white crown, no one gonna take that seriously lmfao
I disagree that no one would take it seriously, but pale crown does sound more imposing. "white crown" or "crown of light" or something can be what they call it when not trying to slander it.
Misfortune is The Lime Crown
Despair is The Magenta Crown
Pollution is The Seafoam Crown
Drought is The Cyan Crown
Judgement is The Gold Crown
And Insanity is The Brown Crown
Exactly
That is fair, but I feel like even Malice herself calls the crown the pale crown, but i guess purely out of preference for how serious it sounds
"pale" kinda also implies weakness hmm
Btw Incalescence if you don't know refers to extreme heat
Actually how would that imply weakness-? Just curious about that one-
Ruby and scarlet are pretty much the same color tho right
I mean..her weakness would possibly be she's too caring compared to the rest of her pantheon, being basically the only one that'd be considered down to earth
Even enough so she actually willingly married someone, cause I do remember the thing I had where her and Shamura are married in this au lol
So her weakness is basically her heart?
Ruby is pinker and Scarlett is more orange
I like that idea
Ahh I see
Apathy could be the indigo crown
May also be depicted often too that she has a good heart, maybe there being a mural somewhere with a pale heart over her chest
Could actually exist within one of the others areas or even seen in Shamura's area, lamenting the loss of Malice
Yes
Would also closely show just how genuine the love is between Malice and Shamura, with Shamura barely seen when Malice has been locked away as the rest of the old faith probably worry cause of how new this isolated behavior is for Shamura, not even stepping out unless it's something related to Malice..probably doesn't even do much even then cause how greatly poor Shamura is grieving their own loss
Then Narinder betraying them all probably made their isolation even worse
Another crown wheel
Oh god, they probably had to convince poor Shamura this would help find a way to save Malice before Shamura contemplates their life pretty much if that's how the timelime goes
why are four of the crowns in the middle?
But I was kind of thinking she was sealed shortly after Narinder was broken free but defeated
They are The Exiled
oh
Ohhh okay
So basically, with them all freed from purgatory, maybe Shamura tries to go see Malice but sees she's nowhere to be found, but it told she was a "monster" by the remainders and wounded of the great despair and it basically throws Shamura into a depression
Oh-
Good call
Still, could be once the whole issue is solved then Shamura goes to find Malice, only to see her cult in ruins and she's nowhere to be seen
The Mystic Seller does however appear still to warn the lamb and other 4 vessels of The Great Despair Rising to seize control
After narinder is defeated
i heard seller
Pfft
Yes
And still, the whole thing of the rest of the great despair telling them that she was a supposed monster, when Shamura would see through the lies, probably even fully aware Malice would never try to hurt anyone without good reason, probably just pushed them all away before running off with anything they could save of the cult if there was anything salvageable
Btw
We should also start talking about
The places you can visit from the cult grounds
That is true-
Like pilgrim's passage and such
I for one think one of the areas should be where the mushroom dealer resides
i heard dealer, im here again
Maybe you'll find him in Despair's area (fitting since the Bishop of Despair is Mycelia who is a mushroom) and he'll tell you about his area
Perhaps his area could be one of the areas that uses exclusively bronze or silver as the currency
Or maybe even uses all 3 coin types
I'd say maybe by the pentagram you can visit Malice's area, either the ruined cult or where she is chained
There, you could buy different mushrooms and mushrooms seeds other than menticide
Probably would be painful to see her chained up as I remember she literally has the chains piercing her skin-
Like the chains I very well remember go entirely through her legs-
Perhaps in malice's cult area someone has put up a business
Yeah maybe
Perhaps selling ancient relics and decorations from her cult
Could be a good place to get plants too as she did like growing a lot of plants
Maybe you'll find this person in Poverty's area
Yeah
The person you find in Fatigue's area will show you a Mine area where you can buy a bunch of gem and metal based decorations
Thought of a thing too like the shop cycles through items or if you somehow get everything you can run over to Malice's old cult grounds and see them throwing things around, trying to find things of value ffrom the grand wreckage
i am interested
Lol
Okay next idea what should Fear's area unlock on the map
The very sad thing about it is I was also thinking the place has a lot of bones lying about
So like, definitely shows the cult died trying to protect Malice herself maybe
Ooh actually before we move to the area fear unlocks
Maybe one of the mushrooms the mushroom dealer sells is one that can be used in meals
i can do research on mushrooms if you like
Or perhaps multiple mushrooms for more advanced mushroom dishes
imma search up the different types
Oh btw
With droughts addition to the au
I felt it necessary to add something to the cult's needs
Hydration
You'll need to be able to keep your cult hydrated with some new buildings, one allowing you to produce water and another that works like the kitchen, where you make drinks for your followers
Drought would cause followers to become dehydrated
And to help with hydration
Fear's unlocked area is a desert Oasis filled with fresh water
Sorry I've been referring to the orange crown as fear despite me changing the name to Neurosis
Anyways
Deception's unlocked area will be a snowy village where you can buy items to help cool followers down
Because
Incalescence also introduces another follower need
Temperature management
Unlike most bars the temperature management bar is a thermometer that you want to keep in the middle
If the bar is too low followers will get hypothermia
If the bar is too high followers will get hyperthermia
Incalescence can mess with the temperature of your cult
By either taking the heat away or bringing more heat
This can be dealt with using meals/drinks decorations or buildings
Each meal and drink is assigned a temperature value
Hotter meals and drinks will increase the temperature meter where as cold meals and drinks will decrease it, there are also meals that are of neutral temperature, these meals do not affect the temperature meter
This may seem like a lot to manage but that's kinda the point
Having to manage an entire groups needs wouldn't be easy
However the easier the difficulty setting the more manageable it'd be
And there could be some accessibility features that would make it easier
Anyways I'm pretty burnt out on ideas for now
So the other merchant areas, Dungeon themes, Vessel forms, and Bishop forms will come some other time
i have done my research
Since the au's content has literally doubled
We went from 10 crowns to 20, so I'll need time to come up with ideas
vc is going crazy right now
Yeah
Pog
nahhhh
✅
Instead of this
Leshy will curse a follower
This follower will slowly begin to disfigure and have plant life grow out of it sometimes even parts of their body will turn into plant life
After a while the follower will die turning into some form of plant life this follower would be unable to be revived
The only way to combat the curse is to perform a new ritual, "Ritual of the Curse Lifter"
They aren't cute
Uh ok I should probably get back to concepts... Actually I'll do it tomorrow, I've got a lot on my plate today
@lament ginkgo i can enter the AU like the red Crown?
No
The lamb is staying
Narinder replaces the Lamb whit me :v
I forgot to do concept work damn
Its fine
Here uhh have charcoal's canon Sexuality and gender identity
Gay Demiboy
Look it up
All right
I must start working on some ideas
First let's work on the bishop forms
Lets start with Misfortune
What kind of creature should Misfortune be
I would have said black cat but narinder is already a black cat
Actually
I think I'm going to halt progress on the 3rd and 4th waves for a bit
They're still going to be in the AU
But I just won't be working on them for a while
We still have to get the story down for the second wave of crowns
Once that is done then progress on those can resume
For now let's hear about the intro to the second act of the au
@royal olive care to do the honors
"Wake up, little dove.... A great power is against the world.... Complete these trials, and you will meet with the Eternal Mother... The pale crown begs for mercy, You are its... "Hero." if you succeed.."
I used a funny cause well, this is heavily important-
This line of dialogue is spoken by narinder
it should be a little clear with the speech cause i think i got it accurate with how he speaks-
Ye
Also I thought of a character dynamic for charcoal and the lamb
Charcoal in the first act is probably the most spiteful towards the lamb
Upon the second act when they have to work together they probably don't get along very well at first
Charcoal begrudgingly having to put his differences aside for the sake of the world
But eventually he warms up the lamb realizing that he and the lamb aren't so different
oh yeah- we also do have an idea to make a comic out of this-
Yeah
It'll probably take a while
And work won't start until we have all the redesigns of the first 4 crownbearers (lamb not included)
And each act will probably have a hiatus in between
So that we can get the story down
All this au stuff is very cool :]
Thank you! We've been working on this stuff for a bit
I think the crown of the affair should go to an animal who...
is fast in life.
No, not a mayfly!
a cheeta!
what do you all think?
Or, what animals..or..crowns could i take?
None of you can take crowns
This is me and Hero's AU (and Mycelia)
Also it's no longer called the crown of afair
Its the crown of Deceit
But a cheetah could definitely work for one of the crowns in batch 3 or 4
Nice
My AU is named : The Forgotted Faith
Forgotten*
thanks, im little fool in grammar

Its cool
give me a randon crown, and it's animal. I'll draw it to the best of my abilities.
The ones in the middle are the outcasts or the exiled, right?
@royal olive please give me a random crown and it's vessel to draw.
I'm not having a good time at all right now...
Oof, why?
To say the least I'm trying to get out of a goddamn abusive school while I'm bawling my eyes out..
I wish you the best of luck
They're fucking denying my age goddammit..
dafuq
They're doing terrible shit to have a fuckin 17 year old curled up in a corner crying...
How the fuck can a school do so much wrong?
I really shouldn't be fuckin venting here but I fucking hate this school, the staff have physically abused me
My DMs are open for you if you want to
whait... where is my crown? :l
Hero, please give me a random animal to draw as a vessel
uh...maybe an owl vessel?
could be an attempted vessel for Malice but was hiding in fear of being slaughtered by the Great Despair, plus admittedly Malice has been seen to have multiple vessels before, actually before she had three
what do you think?
just a vessel with a crown. Could be buttercup, could be the crown of erasure herself.
wait, are they a dove or crow?
i forgot.
but do a random number
the Bishop of Erasure is a crow, the vessel is a dove
Hero doesn't actually have a confirmed gender though as a fun fact
Do need a redesign for buttercup
Yeah, which I am still working on all those designs
ok... on it.
is it ok if i add scars of some sort?
they have the crown of pestilence on them, so they could have...tumor scars?
Here they are. Buttrcup's remaster. I figured that they should probably have the abitity to breath underwater ecause of anchordeep's disign...
yeah, im an idiot.
why not?
Its not... That good (design wise), she looks like a normal person, plus the colors and patterns aren't going to change
Just the clothes type
Hey, I appreciate it! May not be the best but it's still nice! I do know Charcoal did honestly come off as rude in text, but I assure you he likely meant no ill intent
And honestly I can understand the white lines a bit when it's really dark colors over each other, with the brown fur and the dark blue background
the concept was before they were taken in by the lamb.some clothes gaven to them by kallamar. i tried to make them bright colors but i thought "hey they're underwater, they're clothes should be wet, darkening the colors." so thats where i came to the picture/
I know im not doing much, but i hope i gave some ideas!
In all honesty, it gave me the concept of Buttercup possibly having a dress in blue and greenish colors possibly, even if it's not clear where I get the dress thing from
i can see how a dress would be more dymanic underwater.
Don’t think it don’t say it don’t think it don’t say it
Yeah, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to be rude/gen
I do not think you wanna piss off the Eternal mother/lh
it's ok!
Posting to make sure this doesn't die
who should i draw next?
If you want you can try to draw Hero, technically his "fleece" is more of a fancy..technically a dress aswell? But sort of lacking sides, I forget what it's called but I know it has a specific name probably, but he uses his wings like a cloak sometimes until battle begins
post!
Yep
changed them up a bit.
oh- didn't expect an edit type of thing, but still cool, the red bell gives me the concept of their neck shackle being modified by themself- possibly with a form of brooch or well, gem addition
I feel like i this comes in comics, the 3rd eye always looks directly at the reader.
Can I have all crown names?
I want to write down descriptions of their possible fleeces
im unfortunately too tired to do so right now, i might see if i can try and get Charcoal to send them over, either that or i can try to pin the messages with all the bishop crowns
I will het it

here ya go! Im not very good at doing glass textures.
can someone remind me of the pantheons?
I like the bubbles on the fleece idea, gives a pattern to the dress concept :D

But i like the ideas for it
P a i n
which crowns in what panteon? im getting even more confused...
that's alot of crowns.
20 in total.
To be honest. Going after those who wield the crowns and gathering all 20 would be too difficult
Great Despair has Erasure, Neurosis, Fatigue, Deception, and Poverty i think
Holy Compassion is Naiveity, Judgement, Drought, Insanity, and Apathy
Grand Authority has Misfortune, Isolation, Despair, Incalescence, and Pollution
And Old Faith is War, Chaos, Death, Famine, and Pestilence
it would be good when you're bored.
thank you!
no problem! i had to kinda look up in the thread but i got it just fine
i'll say. yea.
Still, 20 crown bearers in total that outside Lamb having The One Who Waits’ crown. That would mean having to fight a total of 20 bosses
sometims it feela like that.
I mean, at the very least you fight a weakened version of the oldest bishop known aka Malice, after defeating the rest of the Great Despair, trust me if she actually did stuff with her actual powers the fight would be impossible admittedly
But for sure she is a spike in difficulty
So many crowns to add to my collection
What crown will I do next
Fine. Let me at those bosses!
I made the judgement crown but it’s very bad
What is this AU about?? I just found this thread and I'm very intrigued
Woah!
Well at first it was just an au where each of the Bishops had their own Crown bearer
Now there's an even more complex story with new Bishops and crowns
We're using this thread as a way to start developing some of the story
And maybe one day it'll become a comic
Yeah! Also great to see you here finally Nomad
quack?
Thats Multiplayer 😭
It's basically multiplayer with lore
I am hungry for lore
same
yall gonna adore what we got in store
i really wish we could pin stuff in this channel actually-
I genuinely forgot what we had in store
Like what were we currently planning
Charcoal how did you forget-
double it and give it to the next person
Nohohooo
That's too many 😭
20 was a struggle as it is
Coming up with unique colors, eye shapes, crown designs, and things for the crowns to represent
gimme a list of colors, i also need to color-code characters in my comic for.... reasons
id tell you but that be an entire paragraph taking away from your art
That’s the neat part just steal them from other crowns
That, is something I'd never do
Despair is the only exception of that bcs it's design creator said they'd be honoured to have their crown featured (and they're now an official member of the project)
Other than that i want these ideas to be my (and the co-writers) own ideas, any other ideas would only be either used for inspiration or if they were made specifically for us to use
