Followers just disappearing from existence

The game just straight up got rid of a fair amount of my dead followers some of them I was waiting to bring back

I didn't sacrifice them so that their permanently dead or anything and even if I did there wouldn't be this many missing

Unfortunately you aren't the only one, this has happened to many and we've lost some of our oldest and most favorite followers to this glitch

But fortunately this bug is already being addressed and they're working on a patch for it
Here's what I know from my experience playing:
• This isn't a one time occurrence, this can happen over and over again the longer you play
• Anything that holds a corpse isn't safe, not even the most recent added items or features involving the bodies of dead followers
• When a grave is suddenly missing the body that was in it, it will randomly appear empty, but you can't interact with it for an unknown length of time, eventually it will go back to being a regular grave but the corpse is not recoverable
• I've checked my own save file, and what I found made me stop playing until there's a working patch for this, the dead followers in my save that went missing were gone / deleted from my entire save file, in the same way (spoilers ahead) ||a follower could no longer be resurrected after sacrificing them to re-unlock each door, or when you pass over a heart demon to Ratoo||, they were gone
I don't know if followers can be recovered without manually putting them back in from a backup, and I'm not entirely hopeful that this patch will recover them either, since this is reoccurring. If you don't want to lose anymore followers, I recommend you stop playing for the time being until a patch is announced
