Getting Trapped in the Relic Room

Bug Description: Once I enter the Relic Room through either Anura or Darkwood Crusades, I assume I get softlocked as I can't leave due to the pathways being blocked.

Any time I encounter the Relic Room through crusades in either Darkwood or Anura, I get locked in and just appear to be stuck in said room, not even collecting the Relic nor breaking any objects does anything for me.

(Note I haven't tried any of the other Crusades yet as I cant unlock them currently. As for Purgatory, I'm pretty sure I was able to enter, collect, and leave the Relic Room just fine).

I have tried restarting the game to help get rid of the bug, but it still persists no matter how many times I restart, (I'm on my 4th case so far). I also did get the Heretic update recently and even with the update, the situation occurs.

forgot to mention that you are still able to escape the crusade but nonetheless, I cant really do much because of this bug

Same!! I can't leave or anything. It just locks me inside the relic room with all the door ways with the black barrier and a red X over it. It leaves me absolutely stuck in the story unable to progress and unlock new stuff. This is also on the Xbox Series X. I was progressing just fine while playing then I unlocked the relic rooms and it sent me to a grinding halt

I had the same issue with the relic room. No matter what you do, buy the cards, collect the relic, smash everything in it, the dialogue sequence that happens won't start, soft locking the game
I did find out that, if you have it, you can use the Escape action to escape the dungeon. But that doesn't fix the issue.

Yep. It's a huge game breaking bug that I hope is resolved by the end of the week. Such a good content update packed to the brim. Only for the player to be halted completely. I hope a patch comes soon. Here on Xbox I'm looking at the new achievements and so far the percentage of like players achieved them is at 0.00% so that means it's broken broken. No one is able to fully play/explore the update. I'm keeping track like that

Well it has to pass through Microsoft too. So if it does het hot fixed Microsoft will inevitably hold it up and slow said hot fix down. So I will not be loading the game up till I know a patch is out

Well just make sure you wear that fleece exclusively. It's the only way to play now. You have to play the relic update without the relic part.

I had to main menu as there was no way out of that, couldn’t save or get out

Been trying to play all day and avoid that (I had a follower quest that didn’t get completed due to getting stuck and having to leave my crusade).

You can simply go to the crusade you need to be, get as many quest items as you can until you get softlocked, and then escape lol (I guess ya cant escape purgatory tho rip)

Unless ya dont have the escaping option that might be an issue but it worked for me

(Fleece of the fates is also an option )

I guess another thing I should mention, ya cant complete crusade missions in purgatory, (at least from my experience), when ya cut the flowers in dark wood for example, they dont drop if you're in a purgatory run

Apparently using the fleece avoids the softlock, so it helps. I myself haven't tried it yet, so I can't personally verify it

Wearing the fleece of fates prevents the relic room from spawning. That's probably another bug itself, but you can't get trapped in the relic room if it never spawns

For purgatory, it depends, I got lucky and I'm able to access the relic rooms in purgatory without any softlocks (supposedly other people have issues with it though)

As for the other questions, I'm sure someone else has the answers lol, havent been playing recently due to being busy and all that

I'm off and on the game from working and other matters. I personally have had no issues with purgatory since I've put on that specific fleece. However one bug I had on day one of the update was when I encountered a new enemy in purgatory that had those guys with shields. Long story short I died but when I went back to camp I had 2 followers.....out of 37. I even went and did a sermon. 2 showed up. I thought my save was trashed. I closed the game, reopened it and it fixed itself and I never had that bug again

Ya got two options, keep playing purgatory for god tears or two, use the fleece of the fates to keep playing the normal crusades without the relic room bug

God tears can help with getting fleeces in case ya dont have it by the way :D

Yeah, the fleece just stops every one of these rooms from spawning (for now at least)

It's not too fun just getting only 4 tarot cards at the beginning and not being able to get anymore but at least you're making progress

I have this glitch on my current save but for some reason it only happens when I'm in a crusade, when I'm in purgatory it doesn't happen at all

I wouldn't be holding your breath for a update anytime soon. Xbox/Sony always gets them last. I haven't booted up the game in a while. Until I see a patch note it'll stay that way. So basically what we have to do is "deal with it" which I am not at all happy about

I've tested with multiple fleeces.

The fate(tarot) fleece is the only one that i can play the game with.

It's bugged so it stops the relic rooms spawning, but out of the 3-4 other fleeces i tried i always got stuck in the relic room
