One of the best parts of cult of the lamb were the bishops. I was especially fond of the mechanic where they would appear in a room, and then plague your cult members. My main issue with this however, is that it was only exclusive to when the bishops were alive, a.k.a. the main storyline. However, with the relics of old faith update coming up, I think this could change. My idea is that when you defeat a bishop with out taking damage, like the Peace achievement, the next time you go back into one of the 4 lands that bishop's spirit would appear more distorted and creepier then when they were alive, telling you that you’ve made a horrible mistake killing them and will now haunt you and your cult until the end of days. The mechanics would work the same way they did before, except a little more advanced. An example of this would be poisoning the lamb. The lamb would lose a full heart every three minutes making the run a little more stressful.

That might work IF there was a setting where you could turn that off, for some people they don’t really wanna risk stuff too much on their cult once they defeat the bishops without getting hit

Actually there would be a way to turn it off, and it’s called the new final boss. Once all four bishops have been reunited they’ll come to the lamb telling them that they’ll stop their hauntings. But only if the lamb goes the place that they were sacrificed. After this conversation a new zone is revealed called the sacrificial grounds. If you chose to spare Narinder he’ll try give you some encouragement before you leave to the sacrificial grounds. Once the lamb gets there they’ll have to do the tutorial again, but in reverse order and much much harder. Finally when the lamb gets to the boss arena in the four bishops await them however Shamura confronts the lamb, telling them that they were meant to die a long time ago, and they were just doing them a favor, when in reality it’s Shamura reflecting themselves onto the lamb. After their long talk the lamb has a choice to join the bishops or to refuse. If the lamb joins them then they’ll become the new fifth bishop and transform into, well what fans think they’ll look like as a bishop. if refuse then a final boss fight begins. The sequence of the bishops that you fight is the same as in the game, only this time they don’t transform, they stay the same. Each bishop will try their hardest to end your suffering, like Leshy spotting roots, Heket throwing pond scum, Kallamar using his tentacles, and Shamura spitting web. Just when it seems like you’ve defeated them, they commence one final ritual for them to be reanimated and have the strength to smite you down. However this goes horribly wrong. All of the four bishops are now combined into one horrifying abomination, with each of their heads popping out a side of its body with a giant eye in the middle. After the disturbing Bossfight, the bishops are released from that flashy prison and are now the size of the lamb. The lamb now has another option. They can spare the bishops or kill the bishops. killing the bishops rewards you with a statue of the lamb on top of all the
