The best way to describe it without talking about their character is that they were made to be something, built up to "great things" and when they realized that it wasn't what they were, had to essentially find who they were for the first time. The mask was the start of that journey

That makes me so happy to hear!! I adore masked characters a lot and I think the concept of two different aspects of a character coming through when they wear or don't wear a mask is always super fun to think about in literature

The easiest example is superheroes and villains where the concept of a mask not only hides the identity and helps keep both sides a safe distance away but you can play with the thought of "Oh am I more true to myself with or without the mask?" Or even better yet, you have of course the want to use a mask to reinvent because no one's found who you are acceptable like The Phantom of the Opera. That example being interesting when you consider when the mask slips and more shows who is underneath. But for a character like Charta, I wanted to explore someone who never knew who they were but needed to at first cut ties with that identity others build them to be

Their whole thing is being cool and generous and, in the game, there's two currencies you work with. They're tapes and I thought it'd be funny for her to be a cassette player dealing with tapes! (Technically they're film tapes and hers are cassette tapes but we don't look at that)

Cookie's based off my favorite sheep of all time, the jacob sheep! Which, in a funny way, matches perfectly to the story of CoTL as it's an incredibly old breed of sheep with ties to the bible as well as it being an endangered breed

To the unknowing, they do not come across immediately as a sheep and I think that's super fascinating! Plus it's a great example of polycerate being seen more than just in the public's perseption of goats

Which, funny enough, sheep end up being more known to have as it's a common trait to have bred! Jacob sheep, for example, having their horns and beautiful spotted wool is actually why some places have them!

Their wool is also really lovely to sell! And, of course, they can be used for their meat but due to their dying breed, they're not used much in meat production anymore

I chose them for Cookie as they have a distinct look and their details fit how Cookie is! Pretty as heaven but can be wrathful as hell :>

Oki. Basically ima try to simplify and speedrun, 3 2 1 go:

so we start out post game cotl (lamb is still actually in this au so don’t freak out) they are in a crusade in Darkwood when they start hearing noises almost as if a fight is going on, after walking for a bit and finding a hidden path they walk to eventually see another lamb, in blood and with a blue crown and fleace with some dead cultists around it. How did this happen? Well a few minutes early that lamb who was in the blood was called Fuku, and Fuku hid in a cave all his life because of the whole lamb dying thing, now he goes out to get food but unfortunately meets the cultists who kill him, he then meets Wilson who is a husky and is also an asshole who forcibly brings him back to life, after a chat, then after the lamb and Fuku chat Fuku follows lamb back to the cult, that’s where we end part 1 cus idk how much typing I have left so ima have to spit it up

I was actually a fan of Sonic through the cartoons I could grab like Sonic X!
