Cause fanart, I wanna make it look more like the style in the animations but Disciples was made to be a bit different cause it was leaning more for the serious story and felt like I would be a bit restrictive for how the characters would look

Actually fun facts about sheep, their wool produces oils that are a natural water and dirt repellent so pouring water on Mori wouldn't really do a lot and blow drying their wool wouldn't fluff them more than what they already are because of the texture/thick consistency of the wool

Yea! Usually when you process wool into garments/fabrics, you'd have to really wash it as to remove the oils, especially the lanolin

Though lanolin itself is very interesting as it's an oil that has an interesting affect on cats

Many of the leaders or those who didn't do a lot of hard labor had longer wool whereas sheep in work such as agriculture or more labor type jobs had the shortest

In their original village, they were a warrior, having wool that was a bit longer but kept more shaven

After becoming Narinder's disciple, they grew their wool out to their liking and upkeep it accordingly as it is something that's harder to maintain

But essentially, the sheep village I made for Mori's past was created as my own idea of where sheep and lambs could live at away from cults and religious groups. As Shamura says, theya are sacrificial beasts, and I essentially imagined that this along with other pockets like it, were sanctuaries for their kind

They could live in relative safety without fear of being used as sacrifices

Mori's village was a little different than most as though they kept away, they did not shun other beings if they also needed safety like an ex-members of a cult or the outcasts needing shelter

So you could potentially find a few other animals from time to time that were taken in/passing through

It's those values that Mori was brought up in and still carries even when being under Narinder. They do care deeply for anyone they meet and will do whatever it takes to make sure that everyone is cared for even if that means they take away from themself

I'm not great at explaining my own character's personalities sometimes, especially when they're a complicated oc like them.

In how a lot of others view them, I've imagined others see them as a pillar of strength both physically and emotionally. They've dealt with a lot of death and loss in their past but they continue forward seemingly undaunted by it all. They grew up a warrior, some would call them their village's greatest as not only were they large and strong, they are incredibly smart and easy to adapt to other's fighting styles. All of this made them very viable to Narinder.

However, they actually don't like themself that much. They never have. Out of a lot of the loss and pain they experienced. They secretly believed that this was a sort of punishment for them. They are strong because they have to be. Who else would value them if they weren't? They're a sheep, a lamb meant for slaughter and sacrifice. If it means killing whoever Narinder sends them out to, then they'll do it.

On top of it all, I think the thing they want the most is to be viewed as an equal. Not as a token of strength marked by their position. Not as blood meant to be spilled. They want family, stability and overall, equal viewings of love.

Idk if that explains anything great but that's how I keep them in my thoughts when I write. I like writing deeply traumatized characters who cannot see their own value

most of the time i try to just look at my ocs background/backstory before completing a design, i have like billions of oc prototypes and stuff because of this even more simpler designs like cotl ocs make me struggle a little with making things simple because for one, im extra, and two, if i accidentally overcomplicate a story it could make it more difficult for me to make a more simple design for them

this is just a me thing obvi, but i struggle w prototypes a lot because sometimes i look back and go ‘damn, that kinda looks better ’

Amen may have been the strong and silent type but was never one to stray from getting into fights! I like to think he got into quite a few fights between other animals but mainly got those wounds from escaping capture

YEA!!! I like to think Amen and Genesis bonded over their shared hatred for the treatment of sheep in the lands (with Amen's first hand experience and Genesis seeing it time and time again) so they both helped sheep whenever they could and lived in secret but within danger

They were eventually found which led to their deaths but not without Genesis saving her babies by sending them into the safe lands she had sent everyone else she helped so, of course, they were able to grow in better conditions

Honestly they do need more friends, though I think for them it's hard to consider others friends unless they really show a good bond which is the same for a romantic partner

It's hard to explain but friendship wise, they want respect both for who they are but also for their values and, by extension, for their people. Treatment of them being unlike other sheep/lambs is not tolerated. I think it grows more for romantic partners that they are seen as an equal. They are not treated poorly nor put on a pedestal. They just want to be seen for all they are and accepted for it all

They really hate the idea of sheep being "sacrificial beasts" and also considered "cute" and infantilizing them

But same as well, though Mori is does go through life differently than others, they do not want to be treated any differently! They are strong but such is anyone who went through what they did, they would rather have others put their value where it matters and not have them on a standard above anyone

I like to think even if far removed from what they do in the story I wrote, the concept of Mori as an ancestral sheep who's strength lives on is something all Lambs of all aus hold and I think it's super neat

Oh first to say, Pastel goes by they/them pronouns! And if I'm honest, outside Luci, Llext, and a few of the embodiments of sins, most of Hell largely doesn't have a lot of care for them because of being human which is actually a major conflict in their story

Some demons are even hostile toward them, putting them in near/direct danger
