Like when you look at their long muzzle, it's a bit more narrow as it gets to their nose whereas for an animal like a wolf, they're a bit more squared off! Their fur also naturally makes their face a little more angular and pointed so keeping their face shapes like that reads off as a fox!

I DON'T TEND TO CHANGE TOO MUCH OF WHAT A FOX'S FACE LOOKS LIKE WHETHER THEY'RE ANTHRO OR NOT

Just mostly keep with making sure their shapes read!! It's also good to make sure to look at photo references of foxes compared to other animals to see what differences you can get from them!

I liked the idea that Foxy became really popular with the big movie poster being a big clue and thought it'd be funny like how Disney use to make a lot of shows based on hit movies, Fazbear did that with Foxy! Gabrielle was an old character years ago that wasn't too well remembered but they decided to bring her back for the show!!

I have the same problem, it's so hard to choose styles for specific things because they both make me happy

I usually differentiate my styles for their purpose, I developed the more detailed look for the comic and anything related to it cause of the more serious nature of the writing/story but then have the more simple, animation like style for more fun things!

It makes things feel a little more easy on my part to show that Disciples is suppose to be it's own whole thing

So the Peepy line has a few evolutions in their species

You got the main line, where you go from them as larvae and they evolve into a Oui Oui (the two little ones in my photo), if they have a well enough upbringing, they evolve into a Peepy and as far as we are aware the final evolution is Papupi

However if a OuiOui does not have a good upbringing and does not fully mature, then they turn into a PeeOui

That is the basic explanation of their evolution

Gabby was a character made (I like to think) around the time that Freddy and Friends was going to be made. They felt, with the idea to expand on the animatronics and adding the Gabby animatronic to Foxy's set, that if they included this new character in the show would help ease people into their character! So the original concept was to make a silly sidekick to Foxy as his first mate (think Smee from Peter Pan) but when the animatronic's debut did not meet their idea, they decided to scrap all evidence of their existence

However, as these things tend to go, because they had plans and stuff already made alongside people witnessing the animatronic, people began to speculate about the character. They'd end up being like a character people would talk about years later on internet forums where they try to dig up anything connecting to them and their purpose

Smhh, Gabby deserved more love than to be scrapped so I appreciate the people making forums

I like to believe there's two recounts of the event that led to them being scrapped. The animatronic was originally designed to be able to jump which was never seen before and that they wanted to make a special show for the kids to involve sword fights between Gabby and Foxy with the idea that the kids would be able to have a little competition to see who would win by (buying and) putting on a bandana that would represent the one they wanted to win

Then, one of those days, the jumping mechanism malfunctioned and (depending on the report) caused trauma for the kids and massive damage to the animatronics

Foxy was a bit torn up but the Gabby animatronic was mostly unsalvagable

I also had some inspiration from one of my favorite animatronics, The Hatbox Ghost in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion!

That was another animatronic that was removed from the attraction in the first week or so of it's opening!

Difference was that The Hatbox Ghost was removed because of the affect not working outside non-controlled environments

They are better for the act that this defect didn't cause trauma or lawsuits

The original idea for the animatronic was that there would be a light that illuminates his face on his shoulders then would turn off to illuminate the inside of the hatbox that also contained his head, giving the illusion that the head would disappear and reappear

However, on the actual ride it didn't work as intended as the guests would see both the heads

So they ended up taking him out and it took decades for him to be brought back but people still remembered him because of official merchandise from the ride, photographs and people's experiences!

My favorite character in any Haunted Mansion media is the ghost writer, narrator and keeper of the Mansion's library, Amicus Arcane as introduced in the book set Tales from The Haunted Mansion

Firstly, this book series is my FAVORITE adaptation of the ride to any other media

And Amicus Arcane as a character is just super fun and so up my alley in terms of personality. He makes morbid jokes and likes to mess with people but he's not bad at all, he's just here to tell stories!

Plus, you get some pretty gruesome deaths in these books

My characterization of Kallamar is someone who has his cowardly trait but most of his responses are "I will actively kill/attack this thing until it doesn't bother me anymore" unless he knows he can't do that (like with Narinder/The Red Crown)

Cause though people wouldn't consider it cowardly to attack rather than flee, I think he more acts on his fear than think of things rationally which imo makes sense for a coward
